Do fans actually care about this? Most of a team is going to come from colleges you aren't a fan of, who cares

Look at those 3 downvotes.

How precious. Bless your little Tennessee hearts.

Sure, sure. That's it. It has absolutely nothing to do with passing on Hooker for Levis.

Levis Stat line against a mediocre Tennessee defense:

16/27 98 yds 0TD 3int

Why would anyone be upset about their team using a draft pick for someone who can put up astonishing numbers like that?

It was the biggest hyped game he played all year...which gives some indication as to how he does under pressure.

But you are right...it was only one game. So there is:

Vanderbilt - 11/23 109 yds 0tds 1 int 6 rushes for -16 yds.

That's two division games...is that any better?

How about through the entire season he had 72 carries for -102 yards...does that mean that he takes sacks instead of throwing it away?

Well...you are posting here...so I guess there is at least some merit to your question.

Your deformable solids exam is Monday at 8 am. And don't forget the homework assignments that are due that day as well

So let me get this correct.

Completion%: Levis > Young and Richardson
YPA: Levis > Richardson
Passing TDs: Levis > Richardson
QBR: Levis > Rishardson

The Titans got Levis in the seond round while Richardson went 4th overall and Bennett, with an all world team surrounding him, got a 10% discount at Chilis.

I must say this is the most interest I've ever had in Tennessee Titans football.

This explains why he was at the top of multiple draft boards, invited to the draft by ESPN, and the news of the day when still available in the second round.

Turns out the people who matter (NFL decision makers) didn't hold nearly as high of an opinion of him as ESPN and other draft media people.

Pro sports fans aren't going to root against their favorite team's QB based on where he went to college. They're probably upset because Will Levis looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane.

Richardson's 40 time really boosted him. At his size, he still would have been the 7th fastest WR at the combine. That being said...he was truly Jekyll and Hyde throughout the season, and it was a gamble taking him. I sure wouldn't have spent a 1st round pick on him.

Yeah. He plummeted from the 3rd QB taken in the draft to 4th. And UT and Titans fans are still furious. Looks like the "NFL decision makers" thought far more of him than the tRant brain trust.

...but I like the way you think.

Stfu. There were 2 good QBs in this draft and only 1 can’t miss. Titans already drafted a shitty QB last year in the early rounds. Just a waste of a pick.

And those NFL decision makers, many of whom are desperate for franchise QBs, determined that he was not worth a first round pick.

I'm not a Titans fan. Their fanbase doesn't hate this pick because Levis went to Kentucky. They hate this pick because he is not a good football player. He was not good enough to start over a very mediocre Sean Clifford at Penn State, and he quite frankly was nothing special at Kentucky. He only got drafted because of measurables, not because of anything he did on the football field. More often than not, those players don't translate to the NFL. Titans fans, knowing their team desperately needs an infusion of talent, are mad because they watched their team waste a 2nd round pick on someone who will probably be out of the league in 5 years.

You don't get brownie points for predicting which drafted guys don't turn into franchise QBs in the NFL. More often than not, success in college doesn't translate to the NFL any more than "measurables".

So let's stop pretending you are some kind of savant in draft logic.

The harsh reality is that Levis played for a crap team and his numbers aren't eye-popping. He has the physical tools to be an NFL QB; few do. A couple of seasons under RT and he will likely have value for the organization, either as a player or as a trade.

Calling it a "wasted pick" before the guy ever reports for drills is some Stephen A-level shock jock nonsense.

Enjoy your day.

I don’t give a damn about any NFL team except wanting former Vols to do well.
