Ellis is a 6-3, 180-pound combo guard that Razorback fans should be somewhat familiar with as he led an abysmal Louisville team when they faced Arkansas in the first round of the Maui Invitational last season. Ellis didn’t play well in the loss to Arkansas as he only scored 11 points on 4-16 FG shooting and had 7 turnovers.
Razorbacks Wire sounds extremely happy

What a tool…
“Hey, let’s LOL at Arkansas for getting a guy who averaged 17.7 ppg., 4.4 ast., 2.6 reb., and 81% FT last season who has a net average of 1.6 turnovers per game over his career.”

You know UK is nervous about Arkansas. Ellis wasn’t our only transfer

We got Brazil from Missouri and he turned out great. I trust Muss. The team needs practice players too

Tell me you know nothing about athletics without telling me you know nothing about athletics

I thought UK fans were supposed to know hoops.
This is a great get. He was literally the only player on Louisville's team worth a shite, so he was constantly double-teamed and face-guarded the entire game. He was the number 1 player in JUCO before going to Louisville. He shot 41% from three in JUCO and 36% from three in his first year playing for the Cards. His three-point percentage did dip a bit last year, but that's obviously due to being double-teamed or face-guarded. He can get to the rim, is extremely athletic, and draw fouls where he shoots 81%. Averaged 18 points a game in the ACC not playing his natural position. Plus he will actually get coaching this year. The only downside is his defense, but if there's a coach that can get him to play D, it's Muss.

His defense is very very bad
He won't see the floor much if he doesn't play D.

Yeah. Not exactly thrilled with this transfer. We needed a big man.
We’re still going to get a big.

didn't Kentucky lose to Gardner Webb once?

Musselman is a little bit reckless when it comes to the transfer portal. Arkansas is involved with every single transfer. It’s almost like they aren’t evaluating the players and thinking about the roster makeup.
Having said that just because he played on a bad team doesn’t mean he can’t be productive for Arky.

Yea Musselman isn’t thinking about roster makeup lmao what an idiot.
Muss contacts close to 100 transfers each year so coaches don’t know who he really wants.
Maybe Rick should try it

We desperately need perimeter shooters and that seems to be what he’s addressing, plus these guards he’s getting can drive the lane as well.
He doesn’t Willy nilly take the a player but chooses which address our needs. Every portal player he’s gotten has contributed.
There’s a method to his madness.

Devo was probably defending him which can lead to these type of results.
But it was one of the first games of the season too.

Reaching out and throwing up smokescreens doesn't mean they're involved

This couldn’t be any further from the truth.
