He is the one who pointed Bama doesnt drive kick and shoot enough. He literally said I dont have a problem with the number of threes I have a problem with the ball often not touching the paint first.
He also pointed out Bama shot 39% from 3 and 94 points per game in Bama's Quad 1 wins. He also pointed out Bama shot 27% from 3 and 76 ppg in Bama's quad 1 losses.

How about Bama shooting 31 3's? You are not going to get a lot of fouls from those.
How about going hard to the basket and scoring tough points? You are going to get a lot of 2-shot fouls and "And-1's". Mizzou did that all night.
How about Bama, down 12 points, playing "Hack-a-Shaq" the last 4 minutes of the game to stop the clock?
I was at a high school game last year and one of the coaches tried your argument. 3 minutes into the game one very aggressive team was being called for foul after foul. The coach complained to the ref "Look at the fouls, it's 7-1 against us". The ref deadpanned "Well, stop fouling".

What was the difference in 2 point field goals attempted?
ETA: I looked. Mizzou attempted just one more two point field goal than bama. Just looking at the shot chart, bama had more shots at the rim than Mizzou.
