And “Ferris state pinky promised us he would get a medical redshirt, they just didn’t file the paperwork”. Aka TRUST ME BRO.

I mean Ferris State basically said he didn't play because he wasn't good enough.

“Chambliss was the 4th string QB and needed to develop”

“He can’t develop if his tonsils hurt but never kept him out!”

Her arguments are “he would stop breathing in his sleep when I watched him sleep” huh???

There's video coverage from the Ferris State championship game where the announcers mention his medical redshirt. Before he ever transferred, there was videotape of Trinidad saying he had a medical redshirt and 2 other media outlets said he had one. I don't think that was all because they believed in a year he'd be a heisman favorite with a $5M reason to lie and say he has one.

That’s not how a medical redshirt works though. You can say “we can try for one” but he was not granted one. Ferris state can’t guarantee one. If that’s the case, why hasn’t anyone from Ferris State been called to confirm? Why hasn’t anyone from Ferris state been called at all? Didn’t they already confirm that he didn’t play because he was 4th string and needed to develop? Not because he was “incapacitated”? And if he was “incapacitated” how was he able to play in 2023 and 2024 despite not having his tonsils removed?

I don't get why Chambliss isn't going pro.

His stock will never be higher, ever, after that postseason performance and it's a very weak QB draft class, Go get that first contract so you can get to the second one quicker.

Has he graduated? I presumed with all his years, but wasn't sure.

A tonsillectomy is a horrible experience as an adult.. The recovery is brutal for 2 weeks. About 5 days are like the seventh circle of hell.

It is not surprising that an LSU fan is oblivious to modern medical procedures.

He stands to make more money at OM than in the pros. He doesn't have the arm to compete in the NFL.

Sure he does. And it's 1 year at Ole Miss, that isn't more than he'd get on a contract in the NFL and then a second contract. He'll never be drafted higher than he will be this year and he may get hurt and never get drafted.

I had a tonsillectomy as an adult and repaired a deviated septum at the same time. within less than a week I was in the backyard on pain pills mowing the yard. It isn't ideal just like any surgery but i think the severity of the recovery is way overblown.

Did the guy even have a tonsillectomy? I didn't think he did, but may be wrong. I think he was just "sick" as the 4th stringer.

ETA:

Also, is this opening the door for players who have 2-week long illnesses to get an additional year of eligibility? That would be fricking insane.
