Can I ask a question? Just because someone is "eligible" under the 5 for 5 rule doesn't mean they can play CFB right?
Caleb Downs only played 3 years of CFB...he is eligible to play under the 5 for 5 rule but is not eligible for a number of other reasons right?
So the 5 for 5 rule alone isn't enough I would think? But again I haven't kept up with this too much

Mmm not so fast. Discovery will not go well, and will likely involve every school that obtained 5th year etc. Be careful what you wish for. Will Wade wasn’t initially even the target of an investigation.

I’m guessing If other SEC schools rostered former professional athletes and the SEC didn’t take action, the defense is going to want to know how that went down. Did they ask for permission and was it granted? The judge already quoted arbitrary and capricious in his ruling; the petition filed today is more of the same.

You guys have no clue how bad Sankey really was, no matter what now the SEC is fricked. Also when the players sue if the SEC wins and the discovery records show that Sankey did know what 5 for 5 rule is, he will be charged with felony perjury and no one in federal court can save his arse

The answers are obvious. This board and fans of lsu just don’t want to admit it. This will play out in federal court and if lsu violates the bylaws that were clearly defined they will get the punishment that’s been clearly defined, particularly now that it has come to such a costly process.
