You are only seeing the highlight plays of LF7, watch a game and see where on every single run he is punishing the defense even if it's for only 2 yards.

Elliot had 101 yards on 27 carries vs Hawaii this year.

He also had 700 against Bama/Oregon/Wisky last year

I was just about to say this. Honestly, the top four running backs in the country are
1. Leonard Fournette
2. Dalvin Cook
3. Zeke Elliot
4. Nick Chubb
5. Derrick Henry

Even Fla fans who can't count know that LF7 is the best!

That was remarkable. And his best game for YPA (11.5) was vs. Alabama!

Oh look, I found the problem.
Based on last year, Chubb is head and shoulders above everyone else on this list. That's why you don't base this year, on last year. It's kind of stupid.

If you can't watch all three of those backs play and without a doubt know who is the best you shouldn't be watching football. I understand that Mike and Mike's job is to start topics and get fans involved by making statements that go against the grain but for anyone who knows anything about football this is not even debatable. LF is not only the best back this year he is the best back in that last several years. Come on use your eyes.

I think in the college game you can't go wrong with Fournette and if trades were available I'll trade him for Cardale and Webb, but here me out when I say Elliot might be the best back LF7 second and third Chubb.
Remember what Elliot did last year and is doing this year on a team with very questionable stats, everyone talks about LF7 being a complete back, you could argue that Elliot is more complete this is a fact that Elliot has a 100% pass blocking rate, I love LF7 and Elliot the most I just think its crazy people think LF7 is far and away better. Hate all you want but its my opinion and no one is changing it.
did you graduate middle school fam?

No one put a restriction on what year had to be discussed.
It's foolish to try to discount those great performances.

But isn't that the sole reason Ohio State is ranked number one?

Stick to your Luckeyes board. Most Tiger fans thought Chubb was better last year. This year Fournette has stepped up his game, like 20-year-olds are apt to do. They're both as good or better than Zeke, who is a great back in his own right.

Are we discussing who's the best back right now? If so, LF is head and shoulders the best back.
Are we discussing who has the best numbers overall? If so, Chubb is head and shoulders the best back.
Are we discussing who had the best 4 game stretch at the end of a season? If so, Elliots is head and shoulders the best back.
Here's a fun fact. Only one of them has been considered the leader, by a wide margin, for the heisman.

I will hold judgment until I see LF against Bama and Ole Miss. He has been amazing thus far in the year
I have already seen Zeke lead OSU to the promised land. He is a better blocker than any other back in the country and is a great RB.

You won't even have to wait that long. Florida will be a good test next week.

Yes, I think this is what the discussion is (Unless you're talking about something else?), and I think Elliott's performances in those games are part of the discussion/criteria.
It's still early in the 2015-16 season, at a point where most of these guys' carries have come against less-than-stellar opponents. So it makes sense to take those three games into account, especially the game vs. Alabama.
