Let’s talk baseball post season

How many bids does the board think the SEC gets? Hosts? And national seeds? I think Vandy, Arkansas, Georgia, and Mississippi State are our National Seeds. Ole Miss, Tennessee, LSU (hopefully) and A&M hosting. Auburn and Missouri should make the dance as well IMO

Tennessee is 10-14 in conference play, with 6 games left. if they finish 13-17 or 14-16, do you reckon they will still host?

I think Ole Miss has to get to 18-12 to host. which means a split of the next 6 against MSU and UT.

9 maybe 10. Everyone but Alabama in the West. UGA and Vandy in the East with Missouri, UT, and Florida on the bubble (UF’s bubble being very close to popping).

Don't see Tennessee hosting unless they win out. With Ole Miss the last weekend, don't see that happening. They really needed to win today. They 100% have to win 3 games of their last 6 or they will not make the tournament regardless of their RPI IMO. 13-17 puts them in coin flip territory. I don't believe a 12-18 team has ever made the tournament.

A&M won’t host. They will be a two seed in Austin or Lubbock. More losses coming down the stretch

I was going off RPI which they are top 10 in. They have a really good resume. Who do they have this weekend? 2 of 3 against Ole Miss isn’t farfetched either

They have Florida in Gainesville this weekend and Ole Miss in Knoxville to close the season.

All that will entail is winning one of the next two series—I don’t see y’all getting swept by either us or TN. Y’all’ are scary and nearly unbeatable when your bats are going like they were today. I’ll be ecstatic if we could take two in Oxford this weekend

I see us taking Friday with small on the mound, them winning a pitchers dual and evening it Saturday with Nikhazi (spelling?) on the mound and then a fun rubber match on Sunday where anything could happen

Or maybe I don’t have unreal expectations? Ole Miss is a great team with loads of talent and they are playing damn good baseball. Us? Our bats were freezing cold this weekend. We get at least 1 this weekend and I am aye okay. We would be 2-2 against Ole Miss

Being "stoked" over not getting swept by a team that we are better than is as cuck as cuck gets. Our bats were freezing cold? No. We Scored 4 runs in 2 of the 3 games against one of the best pitching staffs in the country on the road. Two of our games were only 7 inning games. We hit balls hard right at people and left a ton of people on base in games 2 and 3. Last week we scored the most runs anyone has scored on Georgia in a series all year and they have one of the best staffs in the country as well (even with their ace out). Ole Miss is a borderline host team while we are currently solidly in as a national seed. To say you would be really happy just not getting swept is absolutely pathetic. Grow a pair of balls. Maybe they will sweep us or take the series, but I damn sure am not going to be happy about it if it happens.

Ole Miss has 6 games left against quality opponents, and they almost choked away a 9 run lead yesterday in blindly predictable WAOM fashion. If our bats hadn’t had their best day of the year, the series losing streak at Box would’ve continued because of bad, dumb mistakes both on the field and in the dugout.
I don’t trust this team at all, and we’re almost certainly not going to win Friday against Small. We’re piss poor against lefties, much less against quality ones. We need to win at least half of the remaining conference games to have a shot at hosting.
No reason to get ahead of ourselves when I feel like most any game against State @ Swayze or the three games @ UT could go either way, and I almost fully expect us to lose our last midweek game @ Arky State because it’s just been that kinda season. Way too premature to worry about the postseason
