That looks nice. I really want us to brick up our stadium and do a major renovation.

I kinda like the Stadium as is.. it is unique.. most our stadiums are kinda similar..

To be fair, I think we stole our current north endzone directly from Florida. The new facade will bring it all together, I suppose, but the piecemeal look does has some charm I suppose. Still, it'll be much more fun for every gump to come here in two years and complain about how BDS needs a major upgrade if they are gonna keep up with us damn Aggies and all our oil moneyz.

Aggie has east and west endzones too? I know UGA does. That is about as dumb as it gets.

UGA's stadium is in a natural ravine over top of a creek, which is why it blends with the campus so well. It would be pretty hard to change the orientation of the field.

I think when you juxtapose the current Kyle Field Soviet style monstrosity to Blue Bell Park right across the street, you'll realize why TexAgs went up in arms about ensuring the new Kyle Field be bricked a couple years ago.

I think Bama is done expanding BDS.. maybe a few more 1000 seats... no more room...
102k is enough Bammers!!

We have spoken to the Mexican Free-Tail bats about the dung problem but they don't listen.Have you ever attempted to potty train 50 million bats?

They are migrating from the Mid-West to Brazil and always stop for football season at Kyle. They seem to like the architecture. They only attack opposing fans, so we don't worry about them.

The are the official mammal of Texas, so they do what they please.

Thanks. It's a good design. And desperately needed.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

Since 1927, Kyle Field has expanded by building on top of what was already there.

So what. This is not an excuse for being an ugly stadium nor is it the only stadium that has done this.

Tiger Stadium opened with a capacity of 12,000 in 1924. Renovations and expansions have brought the stadium's current seating capacity to 92,542 with another expansion ongoing.

And your stadium is super ugly and that's not changing any time soon. At least we fixed ours. LSU is just letting Tiger Stadium sink in to the swamp and building a few more seats on the top rows to make up for it.

TexasTiger,
We're more than ready for the redevelopment.
And yes, if nothing else, LSU has done an effective job in expanding Tiger Stadium to make it bigger.

I seriously thought we were getting one a few years ago but it never materialized. I think JHS took a back seat to a lot of the new buildings popping up on campus. Still waiting for them to blow up Beard Coliseum, Parker, and Haley.

Whether this is true or not, I have always been under the assumption that the bats just eat massive amounts of bugs, and I fricking hate mosquitoes, so I was always sort of happy the whiney liberals have made us keep the bats. I've absolutely never noticed the smell(I always just chalked this up to being too drunk I'm sure it's there), and only ever seen two or three dead bats.

Also awesome. Being the official anything of Texas is the highest honor you can have.

Look at the Blue Bell/Olsen renovations. Brick makes a huge deal. No idea the state of Auburn's other facilities, but you should definitely brick up as much as possible.

This entire post gets two thumbs up--I agree w every word of it.
I say put a cave near Kyle so that the bats have a place to take their blood-sucking mosquito prey.

Have fun spending half a billion dollars renovation it. If y'all were smart y'all could have designed the place better and renovated it for about $100 million.

Alabama allocated $81M to do a minor, 9000 seat expansion a few years ago using the same company that A&M is using for our rebuild....

So has every other SEC school. Why is that an excuse to why yours sucks and no one else's does?
