Let's Talk About 2 Plays During Ham And Ags

1. The first offensive play of the 2nd half, KJ scrambles for minimal gain. He's given up on the play and runs horizontal to the sideline with a pursuit directly behind him. A huge shove at the stripe sends him 20 feet into the bench area. No flag. W 14:51 in the 3rd, KJ isn't the same.
2. With 4:23 in the 3rd, Dominique Johnson (RB) comes from the left side as our backup QB is flushing to his left on a 3rd and 13. Aggy DE is decleated, while pursuing the QB from a head forward path. Even finally turns to see DJ about to drill him like he's a yell leader after midnight yell. Blindside Block PF, they say.
So, a QB not protecting himself w the exception of an out of bounds stripe and back turned is OK. A DE who should see the field in front of him is vulnerable.

Umm, these same refs will call a Bear game one day. That's the gist.

The first one was a shove, but didn't think it should have been flagged.
No idea what the refs were calling on DJs clean block. Probably one of those CYA calls that should have been overturned. Was an outstanding block.

You guys won, congrats. The officiating sucked but sucked worse for us if you want to go down that road.
They had a holding penalty that they literally forgot where the foul occurred and gave Arkie 1st and 5 instead of 1st and 15. They missed the Offensive PI on the long TD catch which was blatant. Missed the targeting on the interception. I could go on.
Guess what though, we didn't play well and lost. Not because of the officials or a call or anything else. You have to play well enough for the officiating not to matter. Arkie played well and won. SEC officials suck and likely always will.

No, go on. We've not FOIAd the facemask on Henry. Phantom kick catch interference where your own guy kicked your PRs wittle tummy or any number of other blatant missed calls.
Point of this thread is if your 260 pound DE was "blindsided" on straight up pursuit, KJ not having eyes on the back of his head while being shoved into the Tuba section shouldn't be treated differently.
But if that's the rules? I don't want to see any of the 14 teams whine when your QBs are hit at the boundary this season. Not a peep.

Was it Spiller? who shoved Catalon? in the first half, while the ball was dead? A ref watched it happen and didn't call anything.

Yes. On one of those plays he "wasn't stopped all game".

Go watch that play again. Your O lineman lowers his head and hits our DE with the direct crown of the helmet to the side of our player's helmet.
Our DE had already given up on the play because the ball was on the air and your player comes in with the cheap shot.

Your left tackle was holding literally every play. Not that it seemed to matter.
