I see it like this. Arkansas is probably the 6th or 7th best program in the SEC over the long haul.
A&M is a worse football program than Arkansas. That's not up for debate. Arkansas wins 2 out of every 3 times the schools play, and has a winning record vs. A&M in every decade since WWII, except the 90's when the schools played just twice.
So, A&M is probably the 8th or 9th best program in the SEC.
Sounds like a lot of Independence Bowls in the future.

Arkansas is 1-4 in their last 5 trips to Kyle Field and things over the next 20 years will only get worse for the piggies. Arkansas is the new Ole Miss.

If we had a DL right now, I'd feel good about our chances, even in the first year. However, we are two years away from a good DL, so an average record is probable.
But Sumlin's offense will score some points. The question is how many? Not sure if you are aware, but A&M has one of the deepest RB pools talent-wise with Michael, and the two 5* Williams, and as many OL as Bama at the top of the list. The offense is going to be much better than many think.
The defense is going to be pathetic, though.

Heard this over and over for many years from the Aggies, yet nothing ever changes.
So you've got money? Always have. You've got fans? Always have. You've got facilities? Always have. You've got great recruiting grounds? Always have.
Yet somehow you've only been ranked once (19th in 2010) in the new millennium. Do you know how awful that is?
You're recruiting well? Great. You always do. Since rivals was started in 2002 you've only had one recruiting class outside the top 26. Yet ON THE FIELD, you've only had one team that finished inside the top 26. That's horrible.
Just need the right coach? Slocum is a college football HOFer. Fran was the hottest coach in the land and you stole him from Bama. Sherman was a proven NFL coach. Yet all those guys were part of the failures since 2000.
You know why A&M sucked since 2000? Because Texas and OU were good. Good thing there aren't any programs of that stature in the SEC.
You always get great players and coaches, yet they all fall on their face once they get to B/CS.
Your program isn't a sleeping giant. People have been saying that for 75 years. At some point everyone needs to accept that you are what you are.
