Regarding Tannehill, he'll be missed but definately not the QB for Sumlin's system, Johnny Football and Matt Davis Definately fit the mold much better. We'll be fine at QB. Don't even mention Jamiel Showers because he was only the back up so we could redshirt Johnny.

I would argue that CMike was 1A over Gray, so we return our number 1, plus Malena, plus Trey Coming In.

Receivers we're stacked, Fuller might as well have not played last year, so not worried.

That being Said

McNeese State W
Florida Toss Up but close loss (on ESPN GAMEDAY)@SMU W, the difference here is the Athletes.
Arkansas * IF @ College Station... W If in Dallas Loss
Ole Miss * Win
LSU * Loss
Auburn * Win
Mississippi State Win - Sumlin owns Starkville - HAHA
Alabama * Loss ala 77-0 OU Game
Missouri * Win, you don't get us 3 times in a row in CS.

so, 8-4 or 9-3 (Assuming we get 2 easy OOC Games TBA)

well i guess i never made a prediction

i don't see a team on our schedule that should beat us and only one or 2 real toss ups so i want to say 12-0. but it is richt.

11-1.

So let me get this straight: despite losing a ton of starters and going to the most difficult division of the most difficult conference in the country, your record is going to actually IMPROVE compared to last year?

Lay down the pipe.

LSU will be 11-1, but will beat Bama

Bama will be 9-3

UT will be 7-5

Aub will be 6-6

Ark will be 9-3

Florida will be 7-5 or 8-4

Goergia will be 11-1 and lose to LSU in SEC Champ

Like texmariner84 said and I mentioned earlier in the thread, losing the starters we are shouldn't hurt our offense near as much as people would assume.

And we'll have Sumlin now instead of Sherman. Nobody can argue that isn't an upgrade after this past season.

I think we go 7-5 at the worst, but if we can upgrade our D, we could pull off an upset somewhere for an 8th win. And with the assistant coaching staff Sumlin put together, I definitely think our D will look better.

9-3 is a stretch, but I don't at all see why 8-4 wouldn't be a possibility.

You have got to be kidding me. What justification do you have for not thinking losing your starters is going to hurt you? You lost your starting QB, your best WR, and your best RB, and on top of that you are now in a league that actually plays defense...and you don't think it's going to significantly affect your offense? You are in for a rude awakening.

Great. You have a new coach. I'm not saying that he isn't going to be better, but to think he will just jump in and have a 8-9 win season in his FIRST season is pretty crazy. Look at other recent coaches in the SEC and how they fared their first year coaching here:

Bobby Petrino: 5-7
Nick Saban: 7-6
Steve Spurrier: 7-5
Gene Chizik: 8-5

All four of those guys arguably better than your new coach, yet you realistically predict that your team will meet or exceed every single one of them? In their first season in the SEC? Puh-lease.

And what about the really new guys?

Derek Dooley: 6-7
Will Muschamp: 7-6

Both of these guys took over historical powerhouse football programs, so it’s not like they were having to try to turn Vandy around or something.

Speaking of the “other guys”:

James Franklin: 6-7 (and the year before Robbie Caldwell’s 2-10 debacle)
Joker Phillips: 5-7
Dan Mullen:7-6

So just to reiterate, you think that your new coach, taking over a program losing its best players, and joining the best defensive conference in the league, and specifically what is arguably the most stacked division in BCS football history, is going to just waltz in here and win 8 or 9 games easily? All I'm saying is don't get your hopes up.

I find great amusement in folks counting MSU and aTm as losses for Auburn

Based off what?
Auburn will be better at every position than both times sans maybe aTm RB, and all 3 days have a poven QB. MSU losses their best QB, RB, and 3 best lineman and aTm loses their QB, sr RB, #2 WR.
