I think Johnny Football has the edge right now.

Showers only threw the ball 5 times so he doesn't have any edge over the others there.

And Matt Davis is already in CS so he'll be here for Spring practice.

Sumlin has said he isn't going to name a starter until 2-a-days unless one of them stands out as the clear leader.

In the end, I think it'll come down to Matt Davis and Johnny.

These two are easily the most athletic and mobile and I think that'll be what puts them in front of the other two.

Plus, back at last years Maroon & White game, I was really impressed by Manziel. He is the one who stood out from everyone else to me. And Showers didn't look all that great then either to me. Or just not as impressive.

So, Matt Davis or Johnny Football for me.

Like texmariner84 said and I mentioned earlier in the thread, losing the starters we are shouldn't hurt our offense near as much as people would assume.

And we'll have Sumlin now instead of Sherman. Nobody can argue that isn't an upgrade after this past season.

I think we go 7-5 at the worst, but if we can upgrade our D, we could pull off an upset somewhere for an 8th win. And with the assistant coaching staff Sumlin put together, I definitely think our D will look better.

9-3 is a stretch, but I don't at all see why 8-4 wouldn't be a possibility.
Just gonna pipe in about A&M real quick...

Tannehill was a good QB and obviously has a promising future, but he was inconsistent and anti-clutch this year. We have Johnny Football and Matt Davis. The only problem here is inexperience, but these two are studs and I'm not too worried.

At RB, we'll have C-Mike (who has been like 1B to Cyrus at 1A) and Trey Williams, plus Benji Malena behind them.

As for Fuller, you can't even make an argument that losing him will hurt us. He was almost an absolute non-factor this past season. We'll have Swope, EZ, and Malcolm Kennedy (who showed he can make plays this year) returning with the addition of Thomas Johnson and Derel Walker coming in.

Regarding our Secondary: the way I see it is it's exactly what we needed, losing 3 starters.

Our secondary was horrendous this season. We're losing Terrence Frederick (who was awful), Lionel Smith (who earned the nickname Liability Smith because of how many freaking penalties he drew), and Trent Hunter. We'll have Howard Matthews and Floyd Raven back there in 2012, with DeVante Harris and Otis Jacobs fighting for that third open spot. With these guys lined up, and Marcel Yates from Boise now coaching them, we should definitely see a steep improvement here.

Just wanted to point all that out.

With that said, I think we'll go 7-5, possibly upsetting someone for one more win, but I'm not counting on it.

I do think with the attitudes about A&M I've seen on here, we'll surprise some folks.
