You are right... gravity dropped the ball he didn't impede its progress

Right fields’ call to make.

Rule#1.

one player failed trying while the other player failed to try...their coach may not say a word but if he got on anybody I guarantee it was the right fielder

RF should have called everyone off and easily make that catch. If I'm an Arkansas fan, I would be definitely angry at the lazy RF, not the 2B or 1B.

I think the 1st baseman was making the adjustments needed to get it, but was bumped into by the 2nd baseman running by behind him. Same with the RF, he was on the right line, just had slowed up thinking the guy had it easioy.
Watch when it hits the ground, its 2 ft directly in front of the RF.
I agree, he should have been more aggressive in backing up the catch.
2nd just fricked it up and ran literally 10 ft past where he needed to be to win the title.

The right fielder is 100% to blame because he stopped on the play which was his to make and call off the other players

I think he saw what we saw, a collision was about to happen between 1st and 2nd, and I do believe they touched as second ran by going get popcorn or something.
3nd never slowed and would not have let up on his course. RF saw that and figured one of those 2 had a bad on it.

Was basic call off for the 2nd baseman.

Unacceptable, and you just knew it was going to come back and bite them in the arse.

I was pissed!

What the frick is he doing watching all this and thinking this instead of watching the damn ball and catching it?

I melted like it was my own team doing that, and I'm still so mad, I hope they lose.

Hogs are doomed. One missed foul ball cost them their place in history. OSU has gotten their mojo back. Their confidence is back and balls will fly over the wall tonight. Hate it for the Hogs but that's the way I see it.

A second baseman can call off a RF. In very few situations should he. They all had to travel a long distance to get to that play. All 3 should want to make that play to end the game and win the title. If they don’t then idk what they’re doing there. 2B must have been confident because he was going at it hardest and appeared to take charge.

I turned the TV off at the end of the 8th inning and went to bed. I just knew the Pigs had that game in the bag.

Oops.

He starts charging. If he continues charging, he can get it. But all of a sudden, he hears the 2nd call of 1st and realizes 2nd can get there and has called it....so he watches and still jogs toward the play...sees a near collision and realizes 2nd has made a judgment error overrunning the play...yet it's too late and the ball drops in front of him.

2nd fricked it up, RF then was lazy.

1st is the only one who went at it correctly and gave way when called off

RFer has the authority to call off the 2nd baseman even if the second baseman can get there...The RF is the only one who went at it incorrectly....2B should have been called off
