As with everything, we never realize what we have until its gone. Many A&M fans believed we could replace Manziel, and he was just the first of many like him. The reality is that we will probably never have another Manziel, amd MSU may never have another Prescott.

And Mullen would never have another Alex Smith...
or another Chris Leak...
or another Tim Tebow...
or another Cam Newton...
or another Dak Prescott...

When a guy spends well over half of his career with elite QBs under his tutelage -- he's a badass -- and chances are, the trend of elite QBs under him continues.

Either he's an elite QB recruiter and finds these guys nonstop -- or he's an elite QB developer. Once again -- you can't have it both ways.

You are correct, I miscounted. You played over 60 players in three games: UT-Martin, Southern Miss and South Alabama. In the other six games you played 58, 58, 56, 54, 54 and 53 players. Bama by comparison has played 60+ in all but two games.

Only one JR is going to declare.

McKinney, Prescott and Robinson all have strong chances of declaring as all have top-3 round grades.

So, we are back to you saying that our coaches are total badasses?

Quite a few coaches can get a lot out of 4th and 5th year players after coaching them for the entire time.

Mullen cant be given credit for Newton, Chris Leak was nothing special and every player but Prescott and Smith was recruited to far more prestigious programs with much loftier hype. Moreover, Sumlin coached Drew Bledsoe, Drew Brees, Reggie McNeal, Sam Bradford and Case Keenum prior to Manziel. Doesnt change the fact that Manziel was one of a kind,

Mullen cant be given credit for Newton,

He recruited him the first time. And he was the first to recruit him the second time in a situation that we all know the story about. He may not get credit for developing Cam -- but he damn sure gets credit for seeing how elite he was when most people didn't.

Chris Leak was nothing special

He still holds a bunch of SEC and Florida passing records. That's pretty special.

Prescott and Smith was recruited to far more prestigious programs with much loftier hype

So, 2 elite QBs at non-elite programs isn't enough for you? Are we forgetting/overlooking Brian Johnson as well?

Gotta love when your "all-time" QB loses ?6 or 7? games in 2 years...

Only LSU and MSU fans are calling it stupid, admittedly for wildly different reasons.

I don't know why LSU fans would be out to shite on your thread. Y'all really haven't done much but roll over for them recently.

LSU fans would rather saw off their own dicks than root for Bama.

Bama lost to OU in post season bowl last year. So I would not say they are a more sure bet. I will wait for results on the gridirons to see how the season ends.

I'm just lovin' the continual LSU meltdown, and it even shows up in this thread.

Lets be honest alright. MSU wins its becaused they earned it. Alabama wins its becaused they earned it. The Winner will move forward to the playoffs. Roll Tide Roll.

Yep the Corndogs are blaming the Refs who missed several calls on LSU and the refs missed several calls on Alabama. Some Corndogs are blaming their players for getting punked out in OT. Amazing they can not agree on how they lost.

The point is that MSU is less likely to win a championship than Bama is if they make the playoff, regardless of who wins on Saturday.

Based on what? This logic is pointless and holds zero weight. The only thing that matters what the play is on the field. The fact that Bama has played in championships has zero credibility in playing a championship game this season. State is the superior team this season and if they win out then they deserve to be in the playoffs.
