In all honesty, when Perilloux was kicked off the team last spring, every LSU fan should have expected that our production would have dropped off below that 10 win plateau. The defense was one of those horrible surprises you hate to see, but I would have preferred it would have been this year when expectations were reduced anyway.

As far as Miles' credibility.. I'd like to see a link to this consensus 7th best in the SEC. From what I've seen, people generally like Meyer first, then Saban, and Richt and Miles interchange for the third and fourth spots.

There is a very high probability of LSU beating Bama with RP. RP could have completely changed the games because he could have ran the whole LSU offensive system. I don't think it is that much of a stretch. I also said probably. I didn't say it was fact.

It looks like LSU fans are trying to prove something... with their mouth of course using imaginary players that they don't have on the team.

Keep it up, it's entertaining.

The problem is, he wanted one of the most prestigeous football programs in America to have an offense built around a guy with known character issues. To make matters worse, he didn't have a back up plan. He could have got any qb he wanted, instead not having one caused a horrificly underacheiving season

It is the Mack Brown curse......without fail, every player (like RP) who has committed to Texas and then backed out of that commitment to go somewhere else has tanked.

It's not that he didn't have a backup plan. He did - it just didn't work. Remember, Jarrett Lee was a 4-star.

Not responding to anyone in particular but.... two things

If RP is a citizen we beat Bammer but I don't think that saves the season as the D really shite the bed.

i don't think we would have gon 10-2, the defense was that bad. i think we would have beatn arkansas and bama though. 9-3 would have been way better than 7-5 BUT we would not have the current defensive staff imo. Les did the right thing with RP and LSU will be fine. I'm very excited about this defensive staff

Why in the world did CLM name def. co-coordinators when most of the fans had severe trepidations about them? Why did he not give JJ a shot at qb until it was very late in the season?

I wish CLM well but sometimes his judgment seems questionable.
