you are comparing apples and oranges, terrible analogy. Since we were once mediocre we should settle for almost but not quite better?
re: Did Coach Miles lose the fire in his belly for coaching?

never had any fire or swag
re: Les Miles' tenure at LSU may be over; buyout not an issue, source say NOLA

Honored? For running a program into the ground?
re: Odd feeling that Alleva let this get out of hand....

More like influential LSU backers demanding that the program stay competitive instead of being run into the ground by a mediocre, mired in the past stubborn head coach.
re: LSU backers would be absolutely insane to buy out Miles/assistants now.

LSU backers will foot the bill
re: Guys you all know how I feel about Miles, but we can't fire him right now

He has been exposed and will run this fine program into the ground.
re: Better coaching styles, Les or Saban

Saban, hands down
re: Key to beating Bama

Stop them from scoring.
re: Reactions to Saban getting mad over Steele question?

He is a great coach with great athletes. We have an average coach with great athletes. CNS would probably have been successful in any field he entered. LSU can thank him for upgrading their program.

sounds about right. will know when they start if their deficiencies have been fixed
re: T-Bob is talking about 1/9/12 conspiracies on WWL right now

It means blowing an opportunity to be great when it is there. That is the difference between being a great coach and being average with great talent, adjusting to the situation matters. Leslie does not do it because he is too stubborn. It was an epic failure.
re: This just in: CLM says LSU will have better QB play this year...
Posted by growler on 8/11/15 at 8:07 am
he will play Jennings because he is stubborn
re: Thank you, Baton Rouge

blessings to your family and good wishes to your son, hope he continues to do well and prosper
re: anyone else getting excited about lsu 2015 football?

no qb and a coach too stubborn to change with the times. How can you be excited?
re: Miles responds to Michael Cauble's criticism of the offense, and fear of passing
Posted by growler on 1/16/15 at 10:14 am
the problem is the style of offense that CLM stubbornly sticks with. You can not be successful without a competent passer.
re: Interesting comments CLM
Posted by growler on 1/16/15 at 10:12 am
the key is that qbs are the achilles heel of CLM, he simply does not know what to do with them. It is obvious and he is the one to blame for it.
re: I'm glad Les hasn't made a knee-jerk hire

Was Peveto a knee jerk hire?
re: Alleva is Holding Les’s Feet to the Fire

tack is the correct term
re: Serious Question for Miles Haters
Posted by growler on 12/5/14 at 4:42 pm
No one hates or despises CLM. They simply love our school and want us to have the best available. Not someone who came into a superior program and loses crucial games and does not live up to our potential with phenomenal talent. btw, why is BD Peveto coaching at LSU. Special teams were really lacking this year.
