Trump f'd up big with Iran. This was a stupid decision. There are no nuclear weapons you idiots! How many times do we have to go through this. Does anyone remember WMDs in Iraq???? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I'm ready for JD

I've not spoken to a single conservative in-person that doesn't view this Iran thing as a total disaster. It is a total disaster. Why we are in Iran?! and don't tell me its because Iran was an imminent nuclear threat, because that's a load of crap. Their nuclear material is buried under a mountain and their capability of hitting us does not exist. I remember the WMD bullshite that got us into Iraq, and I'm not falling for it again. I believe it was Robert Mueller who pushed that lie.

The unaffordability of college and the woke mind virus will end colleges before AI does. I'm very on the fence about my kids going to college.

Frick Xi, Frick China, and Frick Communists. You can't trust anything the Chinese say. You might as well assume everything they say is a lie, because it probably is.

Yea, this post really isn't about the water heater itself. I'm trying to figure out if this estimate seems reasonable and the reasoning seems legit. I guess no one here really knows.

If you can't afford it, you either need more income or you drive way more than you should for your job. In that case, you need to move.
I am paying the price, because I have no choice. I do live pretty far from work, but that's because the houses close to my work cost a fricking fortune. I hope you are just trolling with this.

I have a strange feeling you would not have said this if Biden were president during this time. I sincerely hope you're right, but the average family struggling in this country does not give a shite about Iran when they are paycheck to paycheck.

No he didn't. The admin told us exactly why we attacked Iran within hours of doing so. We attacked Iran because Isreal was going to attack them.
The whole "they are getting bombs" and "they were killing their people" and "we can't let them control the Strait" only came up later as excuses to deflect from what our admin openly said, in front of cameras.
This is exactly right. My bullshite radar was going off when they started talking about them having nuclear bombs soon and this was right after we destroyed their facilities. Gave me WMD Iraq flashbacks immediately. It would have been far more efficient to just watch the nuclear sites with a satellite and launch missles at them anytime they got close to it.

It's sad to watch all the talking heads slowly move the goal posts further and further back. I remember when sean hannity was saying iran would be over in 2 weeks then 4 weeks then 2 months and then he stopped talking about it. The thing that separates republicans from democrats is our ability to legitimately criticize our own party and hold them accountable. Trump is not infallible and he should be called out when appropriate. There is only one person that I support 100% and that is Jesus and I hope he comes back soon!

Trump miscalculated this thing. He thought it’d a quick in and out.
He thought we could take out the leadership and the people would rise up. They didn’t. There’s no cohesion and the military appears to be in charge.
Add to that the fact that we totally missed the mark on The strait of Hormuz.
All of this on the hope that we’d cancel their nuclear ambitions forever which was supposed to have been taken care of in last June’s bombing….. but wasnt.
He should have got weapons to the protestors before they all got slaughtered.

Trump deserves as much blame for inflation as the democrats. Spending during his terms has been out of control. This issue belongs to both parties.

I'm kinda venting here, but can someone explain wtf we are doing? I just filled up at $4.10/gallon. There seems to be no end in sight with this Iran war (and yes it is a war). You cannot negotiate with radical zealot Muslims. You have to carpet bomb them into the stone age before they give up and negotiate and we don't have the balls or the stomach for it. Trump ran on not starting any new wars or foreign conflicts and all he has done since he got into office is the opposite. I voted for the dude 3 times and he started out his second presidency hot, but it has been very downhill since then. I see now that he wants to bring in 500,000 communist Chinese, and he has no problem with them buying up all our land. His reasoning sucks! No one has gone to jail for all the shite that has happened over the last 10 years. Fraud is absolutely out of control. Our debt is spiraling with no end in sight. Interest rates are still high, job market is not great, and we still do not have secure voting. How exactly are we making America great again here? I hope I'm wrong on all of this and everything turns our really well, but I'm getting tired of this crap. Downvote away, but I'm slowly stepping off the trump train.
BTW, I hope I eat crow for all of this!!! I want to eat crow and be terribly wrong!

re: New tankless water heater
Posted by ThermoDynamicTiger on 5/14/26 at 1:16 pm to wickowick
This price is just to run the line to the attic and not the water heater. The eventual water heater would have a catch pan underneath for leaks and flushings. The water here in south carolina is pretty soft so flushings aren't really frequent.
New tankless water heater
Posted by ThermoDynamicTiger on 5/14/26 at 11:33 am
So, I plan on putting a tankless water heater in the attic of my home. I live in a two story home and the plumber who is quoting to install the gas lines says I need to increase the pressure at the meter to 1psi from the current 0.5psi or ill starve my stove and other utilities and I wont get gas upstairs. This would involve increasing1 psi at the meter and installing a regulator for upstairs and downstairs utilities to bring it back down to 0.5psi. He says we have to drop it back down to 0.5psi or I will end up with possible leaks because of the step-up in pressure. I have a hard time believing a 0.5 psi increase will result in any leaks. Does any of this sound legit. I'm going to get a second opinion, but I thought I would ask the HG board. BTW, he is quoting me $3k for 40ft of pipe, two regulators, some elbows, and a ball valve termination. Thanks
