Either he's being sarcastic or he's just plain stupid. If he doesn't realize what LSU fans are like by now, heaven help him.

I think he might be just putting his spin on it. His contract has not been rolled over for the last two seasons; I think he's feeling the hot seat, he just doesn't want to admit it.

I was actually going to say a Pinto but thought its not that bad yet. Maybe at the end of this year.

I gave you too much credit. I recognize the car reference, but thought you also chose those two because LSU had gone from the hunter to the hunted.

any time a coach starts bringing up fairly random stats like les did means he's feeling the pressure

Uhhhh...does the name Will Muschamp ring a bell? He is the next Saban in college football in my opinion. I think he is as ready right now as Saban was when he came to LSU.

If we had not been able to hire Saban, Will is who I wanted as our coach.

muschamp has no HC experience. not saying he may not be the Next Big Thing, but i'd be surprised if LSU took a coach without HC experience. it's a big job

correct. and now i don't see why they would go back to untested HC's. i'm sure coaches across the nation see all the talent they presently can work with and the recruiting pool for the future. big job.

I like Les as a person (from what I think I know about him) - and want him to succeed in a big way over teh next two years at LSU

But if he fails then I'm looking for LSU to make an immediate play on Gary Patterson

that's the most straight forward, coherent press release from Miles that I've ever read.

For this, I am thankful. I was holding my breath when I read the thread title.
