I agree, and hope that next year a vote for 9 games or another solution can be reached. Hopefully whichever team we end up playing from the east doesn't have a down year.

Les Miles is looking out for his team. That is his job. Please don't turn this into a comedy thread by insinuating that Les Miles is more intelligent than anybody. The guy knows football, but logic and common sense he does not have.

Lets be honest here. UT is going on a decade of being shitty and it's getting tiring.
After a decade of mediocrity, it might be time to consider changing things up. College football used to be about traditions, but not so much anymore. We'll be having a playoff pretty soon for the first time ever.
UT has a new coach who seems capable, the top recruiting class in the nation so far, and has several elite commitments for the 2015 class. It's a big time national brand with a 100,000 seat stadium in the SEC. UT is going to come back.
Alabama was a complete shite show with rare exception from 1997-2007. People were saying the same thing about Alabama then that we are saying about UT now.

No actually coming up with a long term schedule and rotation would be the first start. The biggest key in this is as per SEC officials LSU and Bama could have played anyone from the east future and past schedules dont matter. LSUs four games-all top ten opponents with 4 regular season losses between them last year. Bamas four games-bottom dwellers with 3 combined SEC wins all vs each other.
If we got the short end of the stick on one bridge we ought to get compensated on the next year. Instead Bama gets to skip their top ten-UGA-to never be heard from again.

Of course. Just like Saban whining about by weeks and changing his mind about how you should win your conference (how about division) to be in the BCS Natty. We're all hypocrites to a certain extent, and in a way, there's nothing wrong with that.

In true LSU fashion ...even the coach has whining down to a science.

How long was LSU shitty in the 90's

Yes, because he should just go ahead and ACCEPT 29-4 Florida and Georgia vs the SEC last 2 years, as opposed to Kentucky and Tennessee 4-27 the last 2 years.
And of course, Saban NeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeVER whines..... Ever.
My cornhole.....

Hey man didn't LSU play UT, UK and a mediocre UF team in 2011?
Wait a minute in 2010 they also played UT, Vandy and a down UF team.
You mean to tell me they didn't play best of the east in those years? Funny I could've sworn they play the hardest teams from the east EVERY YEAR!

Les Miles has a degree in Economics from a top 30 school, do you?

Hes complaining because we are the team that draws the tough east opponents more years than not and other teams are not facing the same difficulty. The reason he is looking out for his team is because his team is at a disadvantage
Posted on 7/18/13 at 10:40 am to MetryTyger
I'll say again, there are 12 other SEC coaches besides Saban and Miles. None of them are whining about scheduling.

The whole argument is that if its a bridge schedule for one year at a time then why is it so unbalanced. Its not something that averages out over time its a ONE year schedule. Why cant the SEC do their best to make it an even schedule? They know which teams will be weak or strong when they make this "bridge" schedule so they have every opportunity to balance it if they wanted to
