I don;t recall Spurrier complaining about scheduling. He did complain about how the division champs are decided.

I think everyone is for this. The SEC has been in total limbo the last couple years with the aTm and Mizzou additions, potential future expansion, as well as the creation of the SEC Network. Hopefully next year things settle down and we can get a regular rotation back like we had before expansion. And I hope Alabama plays UT and Florida or Georgia and LSU gets Florida and Kentucky. We deserve a tough one the next few years and you guys deserve a break.

No actually coming up with a long term schedule and rotation would be the first start. The biggest key in this is as per SEC officials LSU and Bama could have played anyone from the east future and past schedules dont matter. LSUs four games-all top ten opponents with 4 regular season losses between them last year. Bamas four games-bottom dwellers with 3 combined SEC wins all vs each other.
If we got the short end of the stick on one bridge we ought to get compensated on the next year. Instead Bama gets to skip their top ten-UGA-to never be heard from again.
Give us a schedule that LSU would be happy with. I have asked for this before, but I still get either nothing or a "switch UK and Georgia" without explaining why LSU gets that preference at the expense of Georgia.
I would like to see a schedule that LSU would be happy with so I can make the exact same arguments back to LSU fans that they are making right now.

LSU has played 2 teams on their rotating schedule that finished the year above .500 in SEC play from 05-11.

True, the road/out-of-state team does seem to win a lot more often since Saban got here.
What are you, 12 years old? It goes back WAY before that. The home teams in the LSU-Alabama series are only 8-23-1 over the last 32 seasons. Each team has won four times at home, and LSU also had one tie at home, in 1985. In 32 seasons.

LSU's regular season SEC schedule is much more entertaining since they play a much tougher schedule.
BUT, these recent schedules definitely give Alabama an advantage in the race to the SEC Championship. Anyone who denies that is blind, stupid or both.
Recent, last minute changes made to schedules also smack of pro-Alabama bias at the SEC office.

then why is it so unbalanced
because there are more teams than just bama and LSU and we don't play 13 games

its a ONE year schedule
then why do yall bitch about the "every year" schedule

Les Miles has a degree in Economics from a top 30 school, do you?
George W Bush and Barry Obama graduated from an Ivy league school and they're idiots. What makes you think Les the Whiner is any different?

It appears as if they tried to stick to the rotation as much as possible. With Missouri and A&M each getting a premier home game from the other division. Missouri was supposed to be good last year if you remember correctly.
Now whether they did it that way in order to give alabama an advantage or simply because it was easy is a different topic. I am sure the opinions on that will be split on pretty obvious lines.

That may be true, but give us a schedule that you think is fair. What were the last-minute changes and why were they made? Could there be another reason for making the changes?

No, its because of the following two games:
Alabama vs Tenn
Auburn vs UGA
Everyone else has to rotate around the "Big 4" of the SEC Office.

Arkansas' schedule is much harder than Lsu's but you don't hear Bret Jellytits whining about it. Miles needs to focus his energy on something more productive, like eradicating anthrax or something like that.

yes one year that has been played and one year that is yet to be played. all of this bitching over that

I agree. My argument has been that if I worked on making an SEC schedule for one year it would be logical. Like Alabama has UT as a perm and LSU has UF as a perm so lets give Bama UGA or USC and give LSU Kentucky or Vandy/Mizzou as their second east opponent. I just dont see how they cant make a one year schedule balanced. Then we have the bridge for a second year and they do the same thing.
Its not that most of us want to whine its just that it seems like the SEC knows about it but they are too ignorant or lazy to address it

Now that I posted it they most likely stuck close to the rotation schedule so that people couldn't accuse them of having scheduling bias towards any teams.
Seems to have backfired.

Ahh. So that's what y'all are pissed about.

Yes, because he should just go ahead and ACCEPT 29-4 Florida and Georgia vs the SEC last 2 years, as opposed to Kentucky and Tennessee 4-27 the last 2 years.
This is what gets me. UGA and UK weren't just drawn out of a hat. Every team is playing the cross-division opponent they last played in '09 (with the exception of the 2 teams playing Mizzou and A&M). The SEC is trying to stick with the old rotation but some teams don't think it's fair they have to play a top cross-division team even though that's who they're due to play. I know Bama and UGA were supposed to play last year (like UF vs Ole Miss) but someone had to play Mizzou, right?
