Les Miles and Urban Meyer were really responsible for LSU’s 2019 NC

2016 recruiting class

Urban Meyer’s contribution goes without saying. I believe it’s quite obvious LSU’s last 2 coaches would find it hard to consistently play at a championship level were it not for the players laid out for them by the former coach. Les won in 2007 with Nick’s players and O won in 2019 with Les’ players.

You can brag all you want about LSU being a coaching factory but the truth of it all is outside of Nick, it’s just mediocre coaches that run into gold mines of talent.

Who cares? In particular, why does a Gump care?

Our last three coaches have won National Titles. Can that be said for any other school currently? Ever?

So pathetic and mad that we beat the everliving piss out of on-the-decline Alabama this year.

If you want to play that game, Alabama has lucked into hiring the two greatest coaches in the history of college football and has been a pretty pedestrian Auburn-esque program otherwise. Y'all need to quit worrying about LSU and start worrying about not going back to the early 2000’s after Saban retires

Thank god Lane Kiffin was at one time on Bama's staff. Lane helped develop the players to win an eventual championship, not Saban.

Les won a natty because of Nicks players, but was able to recruit players good enough to win Coach O a title with a solid qb? Ok, cool.

Coach O has proven to be an elite recruiter so I am confident we will be in the nation title discussion year in and year out, as long as we get the QB play. I guess we will see how that goes lol

Besides the fact that only 4 members of that class were starters in 2019 and Divinity was suspended most of the year.

Of all the recruits on that list 19 were either no longer on the team or did not contribute.

So Les can't recruit because he won with Saban's players but also Les is recruiting genius that gifted Ed O his players?

ETA: Ed O recruited Joe Burrow to LSU

I'd say Joe Burrow and the WRs were.

So Lane coached with Saban the entire time I get where you're coming from but that's a terrible analogy.

And of the remainders only Cushenberry, Lawrence, and Fulton made any significant contribution.
