A co-worker of mine who claims to know a booster (yeah yeah... I know) said the booster told him that Miles' agent has been contacted to gage interest in the AR job. Apparently the list of first choice candidates is not working out. Interesting.....

Would be a great hire! He's a great coach that simply stayed too long in one place. I think he's showing at Kansas that he can still coach!

Why would anyone want him? He was clearly holding back our program. Took Eaux a couple of years to reverse the damage Les did.

I think that would be a fantastic pairing.
From Oak State to LSU ... he knows that region as well as anyone.
Scary hire for everyone else; great hire for Arkansas.

This is why you just don't up and fire a coach without a FIRM plan to replace them. If not, you just end up in a world of suck.

Haha... true. I do think he could probably stop the bleeding and get the program ready for a better coach to come in and take over in a few years. He has won a lot in the SEC west.

They were trying to hold out and give him time but you can only get blown out by g5 schools so many times before you have to cut your losses. After getting absolutely murked during homecoming by a qb he had inherited and let go. They wouldnt have any kind of recruiting class left and been just as poorly coached with an even worse roster next year. Morris gave them no choice. He should honestly refuse to accept his buyout with how shitty of a job he did.

If not Miles, who is on this first-choice list?

No he wasn't. It was nothing more than Les and his agent working LSU for more money.

I can tell you exactly what went down from the Arkansas side.

I'm only in the know when I reach out to a buddy of mine. I haven't asked lately, I figure I will hear from him when he knows something concrete.

There is a article today in my local paper that Memphis coach Mike Norvell has met with Arkansas.

Miles is not a bad HC by any measure. He might be the right guy for the Hogs. And I'd imagine he's tossed his offense playbook by now.

Miles, with an OC who runs a high-octane Spread, could be good for Arky.
