Chubb sucked arse against Bama as well. Then Bamas second string came in and they got lazy up 20+ points and he got one big run

But to answer the OPs question I have honestly know idea who is better. They are both freaks. But I would take the one without a surgically repaired knee. Which is the same thing the NFL will do

Probably the same reason LSU fans don't like Henry.

Chubb and it's not even close if he comes back at even 80%. Is this even a debate?

I have no idea why everyone keeps saying this. 8 out of Bama's 11 starters were in on Chubb's 83 yard run including Reuben Foster and Reggie Ragland. I'm not going to deny Chubb struggled (more o-line, and Bama's incredible defense) for most of the game, but I don't get why some people just dismiss his run as if it didn't happen.

Even before the 83 yard run, Chubb had twice as many yards as Fournette vs Alabama. Alabama exposed the fact that Fournette is not great against legit defenses. He pads his stats against weak opposition.

For the full year they were both healthy, Chubb was easily the better RB. And his average for as far as he got in 2015 was over 8 YPC. I'll take Chubb every day and twice on Sundays. There's no quantifiable metric that goes in Fournette's favor and the downvotes from LSU fans will prove that

Fournette had the higher ypc when chubb was injured and had already out gained him by about 300 yards with nearly the same amount of carries. Chubb had a better freshman season of course. He wouldnt have kept up with Henry or Fournette this year. I'd also like to see what a full season against Missouri, Kentucky, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Florida would do for LF's stats. He had 338 rushing and 3 tds vs SC and Florida alone last year. 378 rushing and receiving.

Chubb had 91 carries by October 4th. Fournette had 119. That's not a similar amount. I'm not denying how great Fournette is. I feel like I'm one of the most complimentary people of him on here, but I also think facts are important in making your case.

This is one of many lines of thinking that doesnt hold water in this discussion.

Here is LF's stat line for Bama

Car Yds YPC Lng TD
19 31 1.6 18 1

Throw out his long carry of 18 yards and hes 18 carries for 13 yards. thats a .722 YPC average.

Here is NC's stat line for Bama.

Car yds YPC Lng TD
20 146 7.3 83 1

Throw out his long of 83 and hes 19 for 63.
thats a 3.31 ypc.

Now...a few variables here:

1-Bama may very well have been tired of hearing about LF by the time that game rolled around and may have taken a special interest in shutting him down.

2-Chubb was at home and LF was @Bama.

Im not saying one is better than the other based on one game, and certainly neither of them shined against Bama.

What I will say is this: If we ARE using this game as the measuring stick, even throwing out Nicks long run and allowing LF to keep his long run...its still 3.3 ypc vs 1.6 on a similar number of touches. One sucked 51.5% less than the other if we allow the skew, and almost 79% less if we take the stat lines straight up.

TL/DR - Throw out Nick Chubb's long run against Bama and his stat line is STILL at least twice as productive as LF's.

I think we will find out who everyone thinks is better by the 2017 NFL Draft. The one who gets drafted top 5 wins.

I think thats a convenient argument to make when one guys draft stock is already damaged by a surgically repaired knee. No telling how that pans out if both make it to the draft without sustaining serious injury. Also, there is the small matter of making it through 2016 injury free for both.

Heres to a healthy season for LF
Hes a quality young man and a hell of a football player and the same goes for Nick Chubb...I hope neither of them read this board. We are all a bunch of biased assholes here.
