Not even close. We had to win the Iron Bowl to go to the SEC Championship Game / BCS game.

Kinda yea. I didn’t really put much weight into any of our games this year after I saw our offensive product each week. Was still a fun year with the positive moments in the end (mostly recruiting)

They probably had the same reaction as I did - what in the hell did I just watch? Wasn't a jumping up and down moment like 2nd & 26 or Roy Upchurch TD. What a shite show.

The 2013 win over #1 Alabama catapulted us to the SEC West Championship, SEC Championship, and a National Championship game in the Rose Bowl. It also ended the chance of an alabama three peat.
The 2023 loss to #8 Alabama was preceded by a game where we got blown out by 20+ by New Mexico State. This team was going nowhere with or without an Iron bowl win.
There’s absolutely no comparison.

Not even close. 2013 was completely out of the blue. This year after the muffed punt it just felt like we were going to lose. The 4th and forever gave alittle hope but there was still a chance alot of things could happen in that defense.
