While there are many things I don't like about the Learfield Director's Cup, the Capital One cup is complete bunk in the way they give too much weight to soccer and lacrosse which hurts the SEC because we don't have 3/4 of the teams that some of the other conferences have.

Other schools besides Stanford actually have a chance of winning though.

Am I missing it, or is football not listed as one of the sports?

Overall? The reason Stanford has won it a billion times is because they have 36 varsity sports.

It is in the final Fall tally, they just don't itemize it for the latest update. Click on final Fall and you will see the fall sports itemized.

They could make it more user friendly for sure.

Thanks for sharing this. They definitely need to move men's soccer and lacrosse into "group A." Women's volleyball and lacrosse too.

Yes overall. And As much crap as Stanford gets for having all those sports, they usually excel in the main sports as well.

And the DC make you count M&W Basketball, Baseball & Volleyball, no matter if it was a top sport or not. Other than that they count your top 15 other sports. I do think it can be tweaked further, but the CAp One cup give 3 times the points to Lacrosse over the other minor sports.

It should take all of two seconds for whoever administers this program to look at this list and realize their methodology is broken.
