Nope. That was the intended use.

How the entire athletic department isn’t shite canned and the president removed is laughable . Rehiring a coach you fired looks like one of the most boneheaded moves of all time . Integrity probably won’t ever be in LSUs vocabulary . Imagine when he gets caught cheating again what the punishment will be for LSU. Why fire him in the first place ? If all you care about is cheating to win then go do it . Hasn’t stopped you before . Unfortunately there will be 100 lsu posts about how it’s legal to give money now and it was the right hire . He will find a way to cheat again I have little doubt .
This is what fear looks like

I’m so glad you guys are proud of the banners you hung in a washed up Big 12 conference.
Haven’t seen much go up in the last few years. 200o was over a quarter century ago.

Hard to cheat these days with just about anything and everything being allowed. He was fired and had to deal with consequences. He had to work a small job and worked his way back up. He did his time.
Probably no punishment would be as bad as what LSU just experienced the last 4 years. Whether Wade will be successful in his 2nd stint is another matter. But he will undoubtedly be significantly better than McMahon was regardless.

It is strange how the entire culture of the state revolves around LSU athletics to the point of subsidizing it with tax dollars/student tuition while neglecting the university's academic facilities/infrastructure
I'm guessing the logic is that without athletics, LSU would mostly become irrelevant on a national level and lose it's limited appeal as an academic institution, cratering enrollment and thus revenues. It would also lose one of the only positive things the state of Louisiana has going for it on an interstate level. But at the same time, they're effectively using athletics to prey on morons that choose to attend a university for an athletic department they're not affiliated with

LSU should just drop the facade of being a school and embrace athletics full time. It isn't like it is a good school anyway
