None of our receivers can catch - not sure why anyone would label them as fantastic

Screw A&M! I would love for Leach to make Tenner relevant again. The SEC needs a good Vol team.

His team just gave up 67 points to Chip Kelly’s pitiful, anemic UCLA offense. So I don’t know if it’s the time to recommend him for a job in the SEC West.

Well, he does have that cratering to UCLA bit down ... maybe he WOULD be a great fit at A&M.

On the field a good fit, but the personality conflicts between administration & Leach would be a nightmare or great entertainment depending what side of the fence you are on.

Mike Leach wouldn't be successful in the SEC...he needs the environment of Texas Tech or Wash St. to make his system appear viable.

Leach is a oddity that everyone loves. But honestly, he is not a great head coach and has no real data to prove he is.

Fun guy. Would love to drink with him but I do not want him coaching my football team

His defense make LSU’s look like the Chargers.

Setting his politics aside, he’s about the worst culture fit I could think of for A&M.

Jimbo will be fine, he just needs to find a QB who can run his system effectively.

Leach would be too busy making fun of the buildings at A&M to coach

Oh my stars.
Now that's a thread for a drunken day.
The history between those two (Leach + Texas A&M) is nuts.
Suffice it to say a sushi restaurant at an aquarium would be a better fit than Leach to A&M.

Leach's team gave up 50 points in 19 minutes last night to a horrible UCLA squad to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory despite scoring 63 themselves. Bring him on.

We'd have to define success, but he'd certainly make A&M better. The spread/air raid when operated at an elite level (guaranteed with Leach at the helm) allows a middle of the pack team a distinct advantage when facing non elite teams & a fighters chance if everything clicks against the top tier opponents.

A&M has and will always have the skill position talent being in Texas... the trenches are where they struggle to keep up. Leach's style offsets & plays to those strengths & weaknesses.

If you can't be elite across the board with balanced talent, your only chance is to have a unique niche that you master.
