What's up with Kennan Allen? Is he still going to Cal. this weekend?

When will he make his announcement? Has he said anything lately about his commitment to UAt? Does Saban want him bad enough to take the brother or are the coaches looking around to fill his slot?

Still committed. But him and his brother said they're making their announcements Wed. So who knows at this point. Hopefully we'll be seeing him go the Trent Richardson route and after his announcement he'll say he never wavered. But there is alot of speculation he's wavering too. Gonna be a wait and see at this point I'm afraid.

They are still going to Cal as of right now. Bo Davis is supposed to be going up to see him tonight for an in-home.

I'd bet he ends up at Clemson but it wouldn't be a large wager. I think the coaches have a plan in place for that scenario.

Now I don't think we offer and don't think we should. I have a bad feeling about it but what can you do, its not a situation you run into that often trying to sign a guy.

This is a scenario completely dissimilar to what is occurring at AU with Coleman. Allen is a longtime verbal commit who will end up honoring it.

By the way, Tawanda, UAt is as ghey as AUa.

It wont kill us if he goes to Clemson but I would feel tons better about this class if he stuck with the Tide. I think he may be the best player in the nation if what we are hearing is true. He will be a game changer and probably play as early as Richardson or Jones

I think these recruiting sites and recruits need to change that word, since it really means nothing to some kids these days.

I agree to an extent but look at TN. A lot of those guys committed to Kiffin and he ran out on them and they had no recourse. They had to honor their commitment. I believe that is why you should commit to a UNIV and not a coach , but dont be fooled had Saban not come to Bama when he did and changed the atmosphere the onle kids committing to Bama would have been life long Bama fans. The only reason Tebow even considered us I think was because of Shula.

There are two UAs in the SEC and only one AU, something needs to be done. What would you prefer as the politically correct way to distinguish between the two UAs? How about UAs and UAn? Arkansas fans, what do you think?

Arkansas Industrial University was founded in 1871.

In 1818, the federal government authorized Alabama Territory to set aside a township for the establishment of a "seminary of learning." Alabama was admitted to the Union on March 2, 1819, and a second township added to the grant. On December 18, 1820, the seminary was established officially and named "The University of the State of Alabama." In 1831, the University officially opened.

We win.

This Alabama and Arkansas issue is the rough equivalent to jingling keys in front of Tawanda's face.

I think its just like Trent's situation last year, he will end up signing with Bama and his brother will go to Clemson. Im not as concerned as some of the other Bama posters. If Allen were to leave, I think we would be seeing another name pop up for us right now that would be the likely replacement and no names have popped up. I could be wrong but I just dont see him signing with another team.

Well we have seemingly become a bit more intense in our efforts with Dequan Menzie and Calvin Smith. I don't think the press conference is a good sign, not sure Davis visiting him is a good sign, but hopefully it works out. Ivory supposedly was expected and all along we were supposed to take three with Ivory and two OL's, Arie and Stone, and now Arie and Coleman.

If we for example end up having already taken three before Keenan's announcement, Arie, Coleman and say Menzie I'd be worried that Keenan had decided to go elsewhere.

If he wants to play with his brother, fine, I would just hope he doesn't play it out till the end, make a decision and tell the coaches if you're not coming.

What I meant to say is that if we lose Keenan, we would try to replace him with someone who is playing his position. He is coming to play WR for us, thats what we have been told. Until I see another WR prospect show up on the board ill worry. It reminds me of the Rueben Randle situation kind of, we had Kenny Bell waiting in the wings if Randle were not to sign.

I don't see any signs that were recruiting any other WR's, but that doesn't mean we won't replace Keenan with somebody else, a corner like Menzie is a bigger need than WR, we didn't take Allen because we needed another WR, just cause he was one of the best players in the country.
