George, do you think it's possible Bama could either:

A. Work their way back to a 1 seed?

B. Work their way lower to a 3 seed?

A) 100% if we win the last 2. Probably 50% if we split. 0% if we lose both. The split will completely depend on other teams.

B) Little to no shot. There is a group of 6-7 teams that are head and shoulders above the remaining teams in resume and losing 2 games to Top 5 teams isn't going to do anything negative to us. Auburn, Duke, Houston, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida and maybe Michigan State. The next group of Iowa State, Texas Tech, Wisconsin, etc are well behind in terms of resume metrics, efficiency metrics, etc. Unless Alabama loses both games by 20+ or something they're pretty locked in to a mid-2 seed at worst.

Alabama has 10 Q1 wins and 17 Q1/2 wins with 0 Q2-4 losses

Kentucky has 9 Q1 wins and 10 Q1/2 wins with 1 Q2-4 loss (and lost 2x to Alabama)

Michigan has 8 Q1 wins and 15 Q1/2 wins with 3 Q2-4 losses

Iowa State has 6 Q1 wins and 14 Q1/2 wins with 2 Q2-4 losses

Wisconsin has 6 Q1 wins and 14 Q1/2 wins with 1 Q2-4 loss

Texas Tech has 6 Q1 wins and 12 Q1/2 wins with 2 Q2-4 losses

Saint Johns has 3 Q1 wins and 11 Q1/2 wins with 0 Q2-4 losses

I think yes to both. As always it also depends on what the other teams do.

Bama would need to lose tonight at home. Maybe in a blowout loss. Both are possible. Then a blow out loss to Auburn.
A team in the 9-12 spot move up.
In my opinion, the SEC tournament has no bearing either way.

Tomorrow* but yea, hopefully so. I'm not super concerned about 1 vs 2, really. Kind of just ready for the tournament to start at this point.

What is he STUPID? Unless Mark is not playing we are a ONE SEED

No you're not. Not ahead of Tennessee you're not. We all saw what we saw last week. Even with him at 100 percent, even with him knocking down threes all over the court (he's a monster), Tennessee still won.

They get the one seed over Bama.

Team I’d be most concerned about facing as an Auburn fan:

1. Florida
2. Houston
3. Duke
4. Alabama
5. Tennessee
6. Iowa State

Getting Iowa State in the Elite 8 is not ideal. I’d rather get Michigan State.

And yet of the two of us, only one follows a school whose two major athletics programs are both led by coaches on the rebound from NCAA sanctions.

Really who is that? I didn't realize Oats played anyone convicted of murder. Wow! How did that happen?

Curious to see what the commitee does if Bama and TN both win out. Bama would be finishing with wins over FL and Auburn. The commitee wants to avoid having 3 SEC teams as #1 seeds I think. If that happens and Houston beats Baylor it will get interesting.

Woof...guess I hadn't really looked at the sites yet. Hope we can move up to a 6 seed and go to Denver. Cheap ticket from ATL.
