I’ll give this to the gamecock fans: regardless of how they’re playing, their fans still show up. And Columbia gameday is a great experience.

But South Carolina used to be UGA's first conference matchup every year.
I don't care when the cupcake games are played.
But my brain has a specific date for when UGA should be playing South Carolina, Florida, Auburn, Georgia Tech, and the SECCG every year.

Early on in that 2022 season Arkansas fans were all over the Rant saying they were back and crowing about Pittman.

Craziest I've ever seen downtown Athens was during the home Auburn games. They were perfect.
It's super gay that that game is no longer played in November - it was always such an important rivalry late in the year. With the chilly weather it's always felt like the height of football season.
I do feel kind've bad that Auburn always had such a tough end of season slate, but with 9 conference games, everyone has a hard arse schedule. It's such a lame reason to fiddle with a 100+ year old rivalry imo.
I just wonder if they'll look back on that decision & regret it. Maybe they'll move it back one day. But that's probably wishful thinking
