I was in holly springs when the first big one came through. Missed me by about 3 miles to the south. I could hear it as it passed. Hit a lightly populated area of town thankfully. Still don't know how bad the damage is, I headed south to check it out but cops had highway 7 blocked off. 78 eastbound was at a standstill. Likely did a whole lot of damage.

Eta. The one at oxford now is a second tornado. Holly Springs is half an hour north of oxford. The one that came through here was worse. Hope the Oxonians are ok

North of New Albany and reading this?

You should be in a safe place right now. If not, panic until you find one.

Last night I drove through the areas getting hit by the tornado. If I had just gone today I could have avoided spending time with the family. Timing is everything.

Jesus, get to a shelter. Forget about it...laugh about it later. You can't fight nature. Just get out. Don't be like a couple I saw in 2013, that refused to leave as "I've made through the last 20 just fine," and became the only victims of the ordeal.

Be safe.

Yikes. That looks really bad in Holly Springs.

ETA: Dammit. That pic is from 2011. From the Tuscaloosa tornado, no less. LINK
