I wouldn't only blame Lane Kiffin, and I'm going to get a lot of flack from my fellow Bama fans on this. But two people heavily influenced not only his decision but how he did it and that's Nick Saban and Pete Carroll. I love Nick to death, he is a Bama legend, and I will forever be grateful for what he did for Bama. But on Gameday Nick blamed "the sytem" not Lane for having to handle it this way, which is total BS. Lane and LSU could have privately struck a deal, and agreed to not announce it until after the season was over. Lane still could have poached all of Ole Miss' players because they have a window to leave if the coach leaves. So how this was handled was Lane's fault but Saban blamed "the system", which tells me part of his advice was to handle the way Lane did. Which sounds just like Nick.

But either way, it's done, LSU got their guy and Ole Miss is now left to pick up A LOT of pieces. Should be interesting to watch the direction of both programs over the next three to four years. THANK GOD Alabama wasn't involved in all of this. LOL!

I know you are upset. I'm married to an ol miss graduate. But, it's not like coaches dont change jobs all the time. There is nothing we can do about that. It's the way of the football world. That doesn't make them bad men.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. I’d love to know why any “victims” didn’t feel the need to come forward before now or felt that they couldn’t.

True dat, Don’t believe Lane and Nick Saban who advised him look good or maybe it’s just the human rat race. Even if LSU wins a title next year I’m still like why would you make this move and do this to your name, family and college football ripped his kids out of school and showed himself to be a hooker or Bond villain. He had a good deal in Oxford and i suspect this ends badly even if he wins big

Ole Miss gave him an ultimatum and a final date to make his decision, jackass.

Some of you are either conveniently rewriting the history

OR

Have no idea on what actually happened.

If he had come out yesterday and done the Wolf of Wall Street “I’m not leaving!” and screwed over a rival’s coaching search, the whole internet would love him for it.

Spare me the moral grandstanding.

Jokes on LSU. Y'all act like he hasn't done this before and won't do it to you in 5 years.

First off, don't be so sensitive that when someone gives an opinion absent of insults it triggers you to start calling them jackass. It's a bad look on you and shows your sensitivity. Don't be a sensitive little b*tch.

Second, Ole Miss was well within their rights to do what they felt was in the best interest of their program. They didn't want to get into a long drawn out process like Lane and his agent were trying to do. Sexton is the master mind at leverage and manipulation and it is a well known fact that he does stuff like this to leverage schools for more money. He's done it his entire career.

If Lane wanted to be on the true up and up, he and his agent could have easily agreed with LSU in private with the understanding he wanted to coach until the end of the season then make the announcement. But Lane is a drama queen and likes to handle things in public so he can feed his narcissistic desires. So, as narcissists do, they paint themselves as the victim and everyone else is the bad guy trying to attack him. He's done it everywhere he's gone.

Nah, Lane sought guidance from above and chose to follow the path that he believes God has shown him. You should be filled with joy knowing that he took a leap of faith!
