Brian Kelly is better than Kiffin.
You told us this for 4 years straight.
Have you no shame at all?
Brian Kelly took over a completely devastated LSU program and won the west. Remember?
What a moron.

My thought regarding LSU was that they have so much in-state talent. Ed O and Les Miles proved that the proven HC genius isn’t needed. Seems like a smart up and comer would be an upgrade over BK.
So they could’ve allocated more $$ to NIL if less $$ was already committed to the HC. But we’ll see how it unfolds.

Our boosters have deep pockets regardless of what the floop-de-doos on this board try to tell everyone. LSU has enough $$$ for both of those areas

My favorite part is how you were on your knees for him during the regular season.
Then you said he was overrated.
But then you said it'd be a miss if LSU didn't hire him.
And finally you said it was a bad hire.
Holy Toledo.
If you want to repost it feel free. I said he was a great coach. AND he is overrated - he is not worth $90 nillion guaranteed over 7 years. I said he has serious character/emotional issues. I said he will never be head coach at Alabama with the current athletic department personnel and boosters currently running things. Nothing has changed. If anything this latest circus just reinforces it.
Once again your tism does not let you decipher things in anything but binary terms.
It would have been an embarrassing miss had LSU failed to hire him. It was the lead story for two weeks during games, game day, ESPN. And it will end up being a bad hire. Again, though, your brain is incapable of processing it, two things can be true at the same time. I feel sorry for the way you have to process life.

Maybe Golding can ride Kiffins success for another year or two, but do you honestly believe playoff contention is the new norm in Oxford?
I think that Kiffin has very clearly raised the floor and cieling at Ole Miss—especially in the NIL era. Winning takes good coaches and talented players and while any sane person would expect some regression at OM, the program has the money and organization to compete at a high level.

Agree to an extent. I still think its going to be very difficult to win there. Even Kiffin didnt recruit well there and had to rely almost exclusively on the portal and now you lose the fact he was an outright savant at selecting talent and making pieces fit. And even then, the talent level at say UGA and Bama has been infinitely better than Ole Miss. I would even argue LSU under Kelly had more talent.
Maybe this is too harsh as football is much bigger in Oxford than Bloomington, but I compare you guys losing Kiffin to Indiana if they were to lose Cignetti.

He didn’t recruit here at all. He was actually quite public about why he rather recruited via portal.

Do you believe Golding will have the same approach? If Ole Miss indeed hasn't recruited the last five years, it would seem he would have no choice, at least this next cycle.

I’m hoping we have a decent mix of the two. That was always my biggest complaint about Kiffin. Skill position is pretty easy to assimilate new people but you really need linemen in a system for a while to gel as a unit. The only high school player I can remember Kiffin recruiting heavily was Judkins. That’s why we’re happy with getting a guy like Wilson in. Sure, he likely isn’t as good of a RB coach as Smith but we need to hit high schools back hard again before MSU is able to gain any traction again.

TL;DR
as soon as I see ole miss logo I know it’s gonna be something full of shite

Where did this myth that Kiffin is a good recruiter come from? He’s socially awkward and gay as frick.
Pete has had no problem recruiting kids to Ole Miss. Neither did Freeze or even Ed Orgeron’s retarded arse.

Only OM fans think Kiffin's integrity is in question or that he went scorched earth. To everyone else, Kiffin left Ole Miss for a better program, just like when he left FAU for Ole Miss.
On 1/2/2026, LSU will immediately be better than OM. Better roster, better coaches, better facilities, better future.
