We are also unaccustomed to seeing a high school on the college campus. What's up with that anyway?

LSU runs it. There's also one on Southerns campus they they run. And one at Southeastern, and one at Northwestern State, and UL-Lafayette is working on one.

Interesting. I am not aware of this outside of LA. Is the purpose to create a better run HS and create a feeder for the college with more advanced HS grads? I'm assuming they take advantage of the nearby facilities and professors?

I can't speak for the other lab schools, but I know that LSU Lab school(we call it U-high) is basically a public school, just harder to get into.

They have a boatload of money, a bunch of cool programs, and access to all kinds of stuff from LSU, because they actually pay tuition to the LSU system. Their sports teams even practice and play at LSU facilities.

But it's not necessarily a feeder school for LSU. Some kids get so tired of being on LSU's campus that they go elsewhere. Kid in my neighborhood actually went to Ole Miss because he already spent 4 years on LSU campus.

One at Vanderbilt and Columbia and Indiana University.

Colleges of Education have operated University Lab Schools for over a century. They are part of educational research and the training of teachers.

My wife showed me a Facebook thread of a bunch of people sharing stories about things that happened at her high school.

Teachers fricking students, teachers fricking each other in class, students doing drugs in class, all kinds of debauchery.

This just happens to be the best public school in Mississippi.

So I guess she either went to Murrah, Meridian or Greenville HS.

Yeah, it’s like one of 5 good public schools in the entire state

Generally half the kids go to LSU and the rest all over. I have a lot of U high fam and it’s a mix of LSU, ole Miss, Arkansas, Tulane etc. but it’s a good school

Literally the best offensive play caller in college football and it’s not even close.

FWIW, I think it's hilarious even when he trolls LSU just because of the crazy fans.
