Narcissism runs in that family. I can say that having experienced it first hand from Eli back in high school.

Saban, Cignetti, and Kiffin are narcissistic.

Saban lacks a lot of the characteristics. He can be self deprecating and often took the blame over his players. He had boundaries and he took responsibility. He did need or want compliments. And he had a lot of empathy.

No he didn’t. The Mannings have been ghosts at Ole Miss outside of Eli getting his jersey retired ever since Lane was hired.

Absolutely. There’s a reason why they never considered Ole Miss as a possibility for Arch.

Sounds like the Manning’s miss being the big fish in a small pond to be perfectly blunt.

Sounds like a perfect fit for LSU. What's the issue?

You shouldn't be so hard on yourself.

Fact is, Lane was the greatest thing to happen to ole piss and when he walked away for LSU..... now he's viewed as a coach y'all have always wanted to get rid of.

You sure about that Saban empathy thing?

"After a long day of practice in 2005, a player was on the ground convulsing only to have his head coach allegedly step over him and continue walking."

Did Archie go out of his way to bash him before he left for LSU?

The Mannings never liked Kiffin. Peyton didn't have good dealings with him in his UT stint and his Ole Miss stint didn't begin any better. It's why Arch never really considered us despite Cooper being the biggest Ole Miss fan in the family.

Not saying the Mannings are right and Lane is wrong, but that relationship has been sour for years.

I could not care less about what he says. His foolishness with Eli and the Chargers/Giants renders his comments about other personalities worthless.

Only a dishonest LSU fan could disagree

I mean there were supposed to a list of suitors this year including Ole Miss, LSU, Florida, and FSU. Alabama fans talk about poaching him from LSU in the future.

It doesn't seem like those would be the only possible schools to show interest depending on how their coach performed. If a year or two from now Oregon, Texas, or Michigan at least made inquiries no one would be shocked.

I think this is a throwing stones from glass houses situation. And arguably has been since Lane left the Raiders

Anyway, narcissist tendencies in moderation are probably part of what makes a successful coach able to be brutally focused on achieving their objectives. Kids are getting theirs financially now, but getting processed out of the program is one of the obvious ways coaches obtained an edge against the competition - even when it sucked for the players
