He was probably going to Florida for the same money until the AD put the clamps on him. The entirety of the offensive staff is new.

Florida wasn’t going to pay that much for an unproven coach. And the O staff is has a couple of Ole Miss guys and Kentucky’s OLine coach. The D staff were assigned to Kiffin.

I'm not saying Lane Kiffin is Saban but the 2 schools he was the head coach of and had the players he wanted without someone else pulling the strings he's been largely successful

A group of 5 that did nothing and Ole Miss with 1 good year. And the Ole Miss limited success was not sustainable (dependent on 1 and done portal guys).

I don't agree that it wasn't sustainable. Portal guys are the new way to build a program win and more come they just don't always work out. This is just the new normal.

Miss on a portal guy or 2 and if that’s what you have you are done. He never actually built a program.

Better record at Ole Miss than Fat Josh at Tennessee.

What does that say about Fat Josh?

Josh has coached a playoff game, Kiffin hasn’t

You stated Kiffin had done more than Heupel, I’m just showing another LSU lie.

No, I said he has a better record.

If a technicality is all that makes you feel better about Fat Josh, then that says everything that needs to be said.

"Technically ", Fat Josh has also lost more playoff games than Lane.

You don't think OM was getting there?

The original statement was Kiffin has won anything has built a sustainable program. Which is 100% true. Then you jump to some irrelevant nonsense.

Nobody was stupid enough to pay that much for Kiffin.

Ole Miss offered him the same to stay. Florida also made a similar offer. UCLA tried to get him.

As an aside, is LSU trying to avoid more buyouts by not letting Kiffin replace/upgrade staff? Usually a coaching change sees a couple of guys retained and rest released.

He's hiring an entirely new offensive staff and we're paying Baker even more money to not take an HC job.

You're so fricking stupid.

Like wins and losses?

You say Kiffin hasn't built a sustainable program. He was 55-19 at Ole Miss.

Fat Josh is 45-19 at Tennessee. Is his program sustainable?

Just Ole Miss guys and Kentucky’s OLine. He has no say in the other side of the ball? Is he a head coach or just an offensive coordinator?

I thought LSU aspired to playoffs, conference titles, championships…. Not winning a few meaningless games.
