Pickett should have had the number 5 last year. This really comes down to LSU not living up to its promises. Lane is doing his best to make it right.

5 isn’t even retired. It just hasn’t been worn since he left LSU (same with 9).
Billy Cannon’s 20 is the only permanently retired number for football.
