It is always great to see a 280lb fat man tote the rock. Dr. Saturday agrees with me.*

We'll see what you think we Fowler is running over your defense.

So why is Auburn moving him to DL?

One things not up for debate... Phillips definitely had the better senior season.

I do think Phillips (provided he doesn't get moved to defense) has the potential to have a more productive college career under Auburn's offense than Fowler does in Alabama's offense... that doesn't necessarily mean he's the better player.

Fowler didn't have a senior season.

Why would Phillips be more productive in Auburn's offense, than Fowler in Alabama's?

And Fowler will have the better College career running the ball.

Looks like he is going to be a good DL.

Exactly

Because Auburn utilizes a fullback more than Alabama... for fowler to get the ball, he'd have to as a running back... he'd currently be fourth on the depth chart behind Ingram, Richardson, and Lacy.

I hope our staff doesn't use him as a fullback only. He needs to play tailback. He's bigger than LeGarrette Blount but he's seems more agile and he's got phenomenal hands. I truly believe he could challenge Lacy for the 3rd spot on the depth chart if he learns the offense and he blocks well.

I went to high school with Fowler and I can tell you for myself that you don't want to just use him at fullback...I even think he could play some slot because he has great hands.

We don't use a lot of fullback, at least we haven't under saban. I could see fowler being used at H back alot.

Except he's fat and slower. How does that really compare at all?

you can call it what you want.... it's looking like Phillips will play a similar position as Eric Smith and be a short yardage tailback. Smith's primary responsibility is blocking for the RB and he catches passes out of the backfield (see TD vs. Bama)

I'm interested to see how McElwain uses fowler... they apparently have four good RBs on campus now and normally use single back formations.
