Probably 4 years. It took the place of the old Bodegas bar. But, there's a brand new bar right behind it called Southeastern. Built where the patio of the old Bodegas was..

Alabama and Auburn fans work together, go to church together, and most have relatives from the other school. The "hate" is mostly during Iron Bowl week, it's not really a thing in other parts of the year. It is a very heated game, especially when both teams are good, but there are very rarely fights on the field as a lot of the players know each other and respect each other. Things get out of hand from time to time (like "punt Bama punt" or "kick 6") but it is a brotherly hate type rivalry for the most part.

A crappy pizza place took over the Bodega/the Vault spot for a few years, but unsurprisingly failed. I’m hoping Whataburger tanks too so we can maybe get a proper bar there again and not some shitty chain fast food place.

I couldn't go in 2011 because I was super busy with work but that game sucked anyhow.
Yes. Biggest waste of an Auburn-Florida game ever. Just two bad teams in a rivalry game that only comes around ever 7 years. Felt weird.

Yep. Place should always be a bar. Just great setting for it, right on the corner.

Yeah, I wasn't there for '06, but the '93 FL game says hi.
Also an all-timer. That 95-yard INT TD was also one of the loudest single moments in JHS history.

That was a thoughtful gift. It was a mainstay on my grandfather's coffee table growing up. Sadly, it quit publishing last year. End of an era.
I assumed that would happen eventually. My 87-yr old mom is still grieving not getting the Birmingham News delivered.
It was my pleasure to give him that small gift. He was a really good man. He died of a heart attack at 78 yrs old playing full court basketball with his church youth group in Huntsville AL. True story.

I spent 4 years working the gate on that Bodega patio, right in the heart of Auburn. Feels like a major gut punch to hear that it’s gone now.

I hope I go out doing what I enjoy as well. My grandpa died in early 2010. I wore his gameday shirt for every game that championship season. Never wore it again. Still has his and my sweat pit stains. Couldn’t bleach it. I meant to use it as a centerpiece in a framed collage but never got around to it. Maybe one day.

This.
It's actually pretty civil and mostly good natured joking.
Now, UTk can suck a dick. They are every which way of horrible
