Yep. That whole game felt out of sync. Hopefully we got it out of our system and we could do it and still get the win.

I'd expect everyone to run that sold-out defense now.

I know this appears as the obvious answer, but this occurred last year even and AU still had success on the ground. The OL struggled last night. The whole team also appeared a bit flat while KSU was pumped up for their super bowl. The whole game and the surrounding circumstances were just weird and it favored KSU, although AU fought for the win and pulled off the win.

I seriously cannot emphasize the OL detail enough though.

Was it DBs jumping the passing lane or the lineman paying attention?

Linemen paying attention and the qb not.

It was Nick throwing the ball an inch above the linemen's heads

I remember Auburn bouncing it outside in the Iron Bowl every time Bama closed the middle. It was like Fricking magic

was out with friends brah,

I saw the statline just now and couldn't believe KSU held down the rushing yardage. I immediately wondered if KSU sold out. I LOVE x's and o's.

Heard Bammer Phil Savage discribe it best. KSU went "man on man" to cover Williams and Coates and moved the Safties up to stop the read option. It works if Marshall is not getting the ball to the WRs, which he did late in the game.

Usually when something isn't working on offense, Gus is able to adjust and we get something else going. That happened in small spurts last night, but for most of the game the entire offense and the playing calling were out of sync and off rhythm.

At the snap they moved both Safties within three yards of the LOS. They played man on AUs WRs.

Used their db's off of the edge a lot to confuse Marshall's reads, db's tackled well and they played harder than our o line.

Sums it up nicely.

They played 10-15 yards off the ball and allowed easy throws to the outside, but Auburn's wideouts dropped alot of balls. On the deep balls, they bit on the pump fakes, and Auburn's wideouts were just too big and fast for them.

I truly think, if Auburn's wideouts caught better, Marshall could have had a career day. There was no pressure on him all game and the Kansas State DBs were dreadful and slow.

not all night. They didn't even seem to run blitz much. their front 4 was very effective against the oline. I still think Auburn should have stuck with the running game. NM made some bad decisions with the read option early. Couple that with the drops by the wr's and KState hung in the game. Last 2 drives (scoring drives) Auburn was more determined to run.

Looked like a former DB was playing QB and receivers put ky on their gloves.

It's Bill Snyder. If there's an offensive style, he can find a way to stop it to some degree. He's a wizard

That and his teams usually have great discipline.

You are very low quality. Why do you keep bringing the same, lame, one year old joke into threads?
