Talked to my aunt that lives in Kentucky. Her husband is an A&M Graduate and said even they are going. They never go to UK games.
Kroger Field Capacity:67,606
It will be like 3 Rupp Arenas stacked on top of each other Saturday night.

We just got told that there are over 10,000 seats available still?

Nope, it’s sold out.
Sold the majority of seats in Eastern Kentucky yesterday. They drove down to Paintsville and sold tickets for $10...majority of the town is going to caravan to Lexington for the game (buses). Smart thinking by UKAA to give those in Eastern KY opportunity to see a game at a reasonable price for them to drive up. Very loyal part of the fan base.

Isn’t stub hub the secondary market?
Meaning people bought them from the school or ticket master and are now selling on stubhub?

Why does their stadium have a corporate sponsor?

Can I get fuel points by scanning my Kroger card at the concession stand. Supposed to be raining hard. Will be needing cover.

Must be a KY thing. Louisville had Papa John Stadium until Papa pissed of some folks and they renamed it.

So loyal they had to offer cheap tickets and transportation to get them to go.

quote:JMI Sports has agreed to pay $210 million total, including a $29.4 million signing bonus, to own the radio rights for Kentucky football, men's and women's basketball and baseball games. The deal also allows JMI to sell and profit from the school's stadium and arena signage, future naming rights, in-game promotions and coaches' endorsements, among other things. The school, for example, will pay men's basketball coach John Calipari $4.5 million for his endorsement rights this upcoming season.
Why does their stadium have a corporate sponsor
The terms represent a 74 percent average annual increase from the Wildcats' current deal with ING, which will expire in April 2015. Unlike the current deal, this deal does not include television rights, mainly because of the founding of the SEC Network, which is owned by ESPN.
The new 15-year deal with JMI, with an average annual value of $14 million, is believed to be the second-largest college multimedia rights deal that does not include TV behind only that of Alabama, which signed a 10-year deal with Learfield Sports this year that will be worth at least $14 million a year. (Notre Dame's and Texas' multimedia rights deals are both higher than Alabama's and include TV.)
Basically we sold the marketing rights to a sports marketing agency and they sold the naming rights. We also got a stadium remodel and state of the art football training facility out of it.
