I second the suggestion for Tupelo Honey on the Market Square. The wife and I stop there whenever we're in Knoxville. Definitely worth your while.

I'm not dogging Knoxville, but why is everyone suggesting he go to a hot dog joint? Surely there's something better than a good hot dog in Knoxville, right? What's your price range? That would help the vol fans.

It's a not-so-coy put on aimed at the OP as is the suggestion of the Carousel.

If the OP likes to chow down like I think he does, Carousel hot dogs seriously are a can't miss.

Anywhere in Market Square. After that as stated by the fine gentlemen before me, The Carousel is a must see, one stop shop for the best wiener schnitzel in town. When you wake up tomorrow not knowing where you're at or how you got there from the tasty deliciousness.

Then you can thank us

I have a sneaking feeling that many of the Vols here frequent their favorite weiner joint, the Carousel.

I bet in your wallet we'd find a Carousel rewards card.

Ended up going to Foothills Milling Company in Maryville. Food was great and Johnny Majors came in. Double the fun.

I have 1 night in Knoxville. Where should I eat and drink?

If some Vol fans suggest wine it might be good to run fast in the opposite direction.

I am a sucker for redneck disneyworld.

Head over to Pigeon forge for some Old Mill or Applebarn.

Nothing says Knoxville like chain restaurants.
