The media gave Kirby the fuel to motivate a team after national title, and he knew how to use it.
They literally picked Georgia to go to the CFP.

It helped cost your team a beat down in the SECCG.
You were a 17 point favorite.
Where is this disrespect?

I am sure someone did. Others picked Florida to beat uga. Another picked SC. Another UK. Another UT. Someone said Oregon. Those losses are starting to add up, aren’t they?

That’s irrelevant to the point about off-season motivation.

So we're back to Kirby being forced to lie to the players to motivate them and the players being too stupid to know that they're being lied to?
No one predicted Georgia to go 7-5, it's honestly so ridiculous that I'm surprised you even tried to pretend like it happened.

Big difference, Alabama has shite for QB’s.

Semantics. 5 teams were predicted to beat uga by some media member in the preseason. A smart coach knows how to use that.
The other option is to suck arse like LSU did after 2019.
Surely you aren’t saying the LSU plan was more effective than the UGA plan, are you?

I understand that you're trying like hell to deflect but I think you're selling Kirby short.
I think he's a much better motivator than simply muh the media says we suck.
That's Ed O level motivation.

You couldn’t be more wrong. I am praising his motivational abilities, and you seem to have an issue with it.

Maybe if I get bored enough I will search for random summer 2022 articles from random football writers.

“I’m telling you he has the same energy he's had in 2009 when he won his first title against Texas. He has great players like he had in ‘09, maybe better. He has a team that’s going to be upset with a chip on their shoulder.
“As we sit here on May 31, it’s hard for me not to lean toward Alabama in the SEC.”
Kirby has his motivation.
Thanks, Herbie.

Herby will have Ohio state number 1 or 2 wait and see…. I even though Ohio state hasn’t won a game vs Mich in two years they won’t be rated higher than them … Mich has won the big ten title 2 years in a row and every major poll will have Ohio state ahead of them … it’s sickening .

He doesn't have to be.
He recruits better, self motivated players.
That has been the part which Bama has been missing. Im guessing it was the problem for coach O (you would know better than me)? The team motivates themselves.
The connection.

The fear is real in this thread. 47 down votes and a bunch of scared bitches. BAMA isn't going away.

Georgia has to be the most insecure B2B natty winning fanbase in history.
I can’t remember how LSU fans acted when they went B2B..

I thought Bama fans were the downvotes? I’d downvote it if someone posted a thread with Herbie saying we were awesome in May.

The reality is that Bama will be lucky, though I hope like hell they do, to make the SECCG this year.

Yep, that's BAMA. They've been lucky as hell for 15 years.

Hell
Every loss for Bama, this board gets littered with how Bama was unlucky.

You may want to notify your fellow Georgia fans.
They're saying Kirby needs the media talking Georgia down to motivate the team.
FWIW, Herbie also said that he feels Alabama and LSU are ahead of Georgia right now, haven't seen anyone mention that.

They had competent QBs during that stretch, not some scrub from the portal or Jalen fricking Milroe. Have a feeling you’re in for a long season, so beat that chest while you can.
