The UGA soft schedule is just a point with no context and has been for some time.

"some time" = since at least 1980, when they didn't okay 3 of the other 4 top SEC teams

Georgia's SOS ranked 11th of the 16 SEC teams this season.

Georgia's conference opponent win percentage (0.4688).is what qualified Georgia for the SEC CG over aTm and Ole Miss.

Well Jethro, maybe you could play TexasA&M, Oklahoma, even lowly Vanderbilt. And let’s not forget your brutal non conference schedule each year. Georgia Tech sucks and you acted like you just beat Ohio State.

Both your NCs were due to playing most lackluster schedule in the Country. You play a Big 10 schedule of 1-2 tough games during each regular season and it has always been that way.

He's not wrong, but the schools voted for this. Sankey can't make these sorts of decisions unilaterally.

I was actually just talking to a Georgia buddy this morning how i appreciated Kirby and his comments about the championship game this week and now this. These guys are a bunch entitlement drama queens. You're making like ten million dollar a year, your players are making absurd amounts of money. It's a damn football game shutup and go play it

How much extra $ are we really getting? I haven’t heard anything about a major renegotiation after adding another 10+% of content.

Good for him. He’s taken the torch from Saban as the defacto conference spokesman on issues of common sense and he’s doing a great job in that role

He is in an easier position after winning a championship. Its better than Sark groveling about Texas.

But in the long run this will bite some of the conference teams that will be on the bubble.

Kiffin went through it last year with the Kentucky loss last season. Sark now with the Florida loss.

Add an extra game into the mix and there will be plenty of extra melting on the horizon.

Keep going, don't stop there

Did you know that both 2021 & 2022 were ranked #5 SOS at the end of the regular season? And both also ranked #1 at the end of the postseason.

What games are you basing your take upon?

lol - outside of Athens, the guy is a slimey cheater. The rest of the Country saw what a fraud he was with that timeout stunt a month ago. What an idiot. He lost even more credibility trying to explain it.

I love talking crap about kirby, but the only thing he missed was the unbalanced home/away (4/5 vs 5/4) setup.

we have come full circle. like a cat chasing their tails.

the SECCG was great and served a purpose under the BCS. now they can shitcan it.

also 12 teams blows. BUT, if they wanna keep this money making scam.....cancel all autobids. bring back BCS computer polls(which has SOS built in) and the QUALITY WIN metric. let's pick the BEST 12 teams.

F all these G5 schools/

I told you so…..

9 conf games is a huge mistake…

Sanky kowtowed to the Big 10

Result, 1 more loss for half the SEC…SEC SOS goes down across the board due to that…..

Never see 5 SEC teams in the playoffs again….

A year ago, the majority of posters here wanted a 9 game schedule. This board can't make up its mind.
