Defense seemed Aranda started disquising his coverages very well confusing Fromm. He also stacked the box to stop the run.

It really wasn't all that complicated, it was just well planned and executed.

LSU took away the draw play that was working so well early by run blitzing the LB's rather than pass blitzing them. The pass blitzing is why LSU was getting gashed.

LSU also mixed up coverages between man and zone which UGA hadn't prepared for. LSU is in man 80% of the time.

Grantham doesnt have the main piece required to make his scheme work yet- a mount cody tony siragusa NT to command two blocks. Without it, his defense suffers. With it, it is elite.

But thanks for posting a thought out response in this shite show. It is appreciated.

LSU was on fire for that game, I don't think anyone was going to run on them for those first few quarters after they adjusted defensively.

You obviously missed the part where we actually did run the ball and not pass. Holyfield averaged 8 ypc and they were all between the tackles. Swift averaged 6 ypc. I think we ran on them pretty good the few times our 1s and 2s ran the ball.

Granthams defense has been pretty strong so far. While I agree we need a NT, he has adjusted to that very well. Remember during UK CeCe, Reese, and Wilson we're out(Wilson injured in game). All three are top defenders. So we needed to adjust and didn't well. The next weeks we did well to adapting the defense. His work against Miss State and LSU were very good plans.

We lack a lot in safety play and DT but he has used good packages to hide our flaws to a certain extent. It's not the 2012 defense, but it's about as good as you can ask for with the lacking talent in some areas.

We don't know what LSU had to adjust to.

Georgia only ran the ball on one possession in their first 3 possessions and it demolished LSU, then they decided to fake on 4th and 9 instead of taking the 3-3 tie on the road. The other 7 plays in those possessions were..

Pass for first down
Pass
Pass
Pass
Punt

Pass
Pass
Pass
Punt

After that debacle, Georgia had 1 unsuccessful set of downs and then found themselves in a 16-0 hole with 5 minutes left in the first half on the road.

It was baffling after the fake fg that they came out and threw the ball 3 straight times on their next possession. I don't know if the outcome would have been different, but they had clearly found something that was working and then inexplicably abandoned it.

Fake field goal, only 7 carries for Holyfield, using Fields in the dumbest fricking situations and on and on

What I saw were UGA receivers wide open all over the field against a vaunted secondary, but our qb unable to connect.

This happened like twice and we also had 2 overthrows to wide open guys that would have walked into the endzone. You cant just pick and choose one sides mistakes to fix and then say the game would have been different. You just look like a butthurt retard.

Would love to see those 10 TD passes missed.

Can you imagine what Mullen is going to do to Kirby in two weeks?

I remember people saying the same thing when Miss St got rocked last year. I forgot their coaches name. Can you help me out?

Actually....I might agree. Orgeron did a great job Saturday. Kirby, not so much. LSU was prepared and we were not.

However, I still think Kirby will learn from this and do well. We'll keep him.

LSU clearly won the coaching battle.

But that was due to Kirby being too damn confident and thinking he could do whatever he wanted to and still win.

Georgia could have run the ball and slowly gotten Fromm into the game and let him manage it around a fantastic run game in a wild environment. Georgia would have been perfectly fine if he did that.

Keep the game close, take your points, and see if your more experienced QB can make more plays late against a defense that you'd been pounding.

But nope. Fake some shite and then throw the ball all over with your now rattled af QB. And THEN still barely give your hot RB any touches.

Good lord, Kirby.

This... All of it...

Hard look in the mirror after that one for sure.

There's no doubt that Kirby shite the bed with regards to preparation. Aranda did give him several looks that he hadn't shown up to that point though.

UGA could not adjust in game to those looks for some reason.

He usually does an excellent job of adjusting at halftime.....most of the time. Saturday? Not so much. But hey...LSU played hard and won the game. Hats off to you.

This is gonna be fun. Can’t wait to see you try and puzzle your way thru how Coach O out coached him but Mullen couldn’t.
