And still playing Duke in a neutral site game.

Chick-Fil-A sets those games up, not Alabama. We merely agreed to play in the game. Our opponent was chosen by a third party.

In previous Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Classics, we have played #8 Clemson, #7 Virginia Tech, and #3 Florida State.

I get the reason. You make a good point but at his level, he should be a bit more forgiving to a sportswriter -- especially a local guy who's just doing his job. That's just plain human decency. Saban does have his good points for sure but this is an area where he could use some work. Not to be too preachy -- all of us have shortcomings similar to it.

Honestly, it's just low hanging fodder for reporters and fans to jaw about really. But he can be a bit more gracious about it instead of snapping.

I bet he does want 9 conference games. The schedule makers in the SEC will have LSU playing Georgia for their 9th game, Auburn playing Florida for their 9th game while bama would somehow draw Vanderbilt for their 9th game.

It's not the first time this question has been asked though. If it was, you'd have a point. At this point the journalist is beating a dead horse and this was Saban telling the press that he's tired of hearing that question.

I agree, and I think Saban makes a valid point, but jeez he can be less of an arse about it.

He's been pushing for 9 conf games for years.

Right. The West + Mizzou, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

Who made Alabama go to Durham a few years ago?
