Leaving a team with a legit shot at a national championship because you think you will have the opportunity to win more national championships down the road. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

I have no doubt he is having some twinges of regret.
But ultimately Lane has time and time again displayed a preference for upheaval and chaos and chasing the next big thing over stability and long-term commitment.
