I am both surprised and embarrassed by how long I entertained the possibility. I've read too much on the rant today.

This is an interesting thread. I re-read your post 59 times, but nothing made sense.

If Kiffin has a good place kicker, Nick Saban cannot beat Kiffin.

But he's learned how. He'd score 70 on him if he had Georgia's athletes.

Kiffin should learn the process for one more year, then become rhe head coach in Athens.

I think it's safer to go with a coach who has already proven he can defeat Saban.

Wasn't there a guy out in College Station or something like that, who beat Nick Saban a couple years back? I still hear his name once in a while.

That guy, along with the guy in Auburn, in addition to Kiffin should all learn something about defense before they became head coaches.

They'll just hire someone good. Kiffin was screwed because of his dad. He won't have that to hold him back in Athens.

I feel like your season long "Kiffin is great" campaign started off as a troll attempt (expecting Kiffin to be a disaster) that has kind of backfired given the success of Alabama's offense and what Kiffin has done with Sims, but you are sticking with it. True or false?

No flame but he is terribly overpaid now IMO for the results he has posted so far.

I have to give FaWx credit as one of the first posters to acknowledge the Kiffin hire as a great move....before the season started.

False. I've said from day 1 I think he masked Saban's greatest weaknesses, and as a Cowboys fan I was quite familiar with Monte Kiffin and the disaster his defense brings. I have posts on this board pre-Kiffin in Tuscaloosa that are pro-Lane. I've always loved his offense.

I think he would be a homerun hire for Florida. Offensive mind, easy path through the east, and the newfound knowledge of Saban's doings.

Fair enough. And good call.
