I don't think so either, however, they do want better explanations from Tennessee. And keep in mind, at this point, they don't ask questions they don't already have the answer to or feel they know the answer to. Alot is going to ride on Tennessee's response to the LOA. If they're not satisfied with the reply, the Committee of Infractions could do some damage. Take it from a fan whose school has been there done that too often in the last two decades.

A couple of dumb questions.

I admit I just scanned over the thing, but I didn't see anything with regard to "hostessgate" was that completely ignored or was it maybe in one of the redacted sections of issue #9.

Also, with regard to everything being placed on Kiffin, et al as opposed to the program, even in the things with Pearl and basketball it seemed that everything in the spelled out allegations had to do with coaches, and not the program. Now in each case there were sections where it was asked for "the institution's" guidelines, actions, etc. So does that mean that for the first time ever that coaches will take the brunt of the entire thing and the programs will be given a pass, or are those who say UT football is out of the woods making a few predictions that aren't quite sure thing yet?

Not disappointed at all yet. This is the LOA, there's still a long ways to go in this thing. There's a ton of evidence the NCAA is still requesting, including records of Tennessee's punishment of Kiffin for his violations. They want to know why they felt it was adequate, if any were given to him. They're requesting the last 5 yrs worth of secondary violations, along with tv contract info, who's on roster and not at this point. Anyone who thinks this is good news and Tennessee is out of the woods are the ones that will be disappointed down the road. Finally, the ones that continue to say, this is only about Kiffin, are going to have a reality check, I think. Kiffin was YOUR HEAD COACH AND REPRESENTATIVE OF THE PROGRAM. Thinking that he's going to get hammered and Tn won't is a bit more delusional than the USC fans last season, that were in total denial.

I'm not saying he's going to get hammered.

I'm saying Tennessee is not going to be.

Your head and assistant coaches are being hit with failure to create an atmosphere of compliance, along with failure to monitor. They were Tennessee football while there. Tennessee will face some sanctions for this. There have been several Tn posters saying all yall will get in football is one yr probation and nothing else. That's denial.

well from the beginning many people including myself repeatedly said NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING will come out of hostess-gate.
the result:zero allegation on hostess going to a high school game.

From Hubbs tonight, who has been on top of all of this.

They may receive a probationary period, but there's not expected to be any significant penalties. Maybe a few recruiting restrictions or a reduction in number of official visitors.

Alahunter begs to differ. UT's situation is as serious as USC's pay to play allegation. it's just the begining. MORE WILL COME OUT!!1!!!one

Didn't we use something like 12 less OV's than we were allotted this past season under Dooley?

I'm guessing people are having difficulty understanding the difference between the coaching staff getting hit with the failure to monitor and The Football Program being hit with it.

Of course the coaching staff was working for Tennessee while they committed the actions that led to the failure to monitor, however because Tennessee was so forth coming in the investigation and provided all information requested, is most likely the reason the program was not hit and the coaching staff was.

The exact opposite of how USC handled their investigation a couple of years ago.

Bottom line is our Football team is getting off relatively free while Kiffy is gonna get more sanctions. I hope USC has know choice but fire his spoiled arse.
