Considering the Tennessee football program wasn't implicated in the LOA
Because the NCAA wants more information from Tennessee, information that we don't have nor are we willing to give.
They want to know how the AD attempted to curb Kiffen's actions.
He knows we didn't try to stop Kiffen...bam...Lack of institutional control.

Considering the Tennessee football program wasn't implicated in the LOA (I've read all of it), I'm curious as to why you believe LOI is on the table?
1. The entire coaching staff that was representative of the University is being mentioned in the LOA, this means that the University is complicit. You can't say, oh, the coaches are guilty, but not the University.
2. The investigation is not complete, Tenn will respond with the requested information and the NCAA will either formulate or adjust allegations and then turn it over to the Infractions Committee. The LOA isn't the end of the findings, but just a part of the process of the findings.
eta -- gotta run for a bit, so no response by me from this point on, doesn't mean I won't or don't have opinions on what follows.

SugarHog
The NCAA can ban coaches for 1 year, 2-3 years, life etc.

That is fair in my opinion and that is exactly what should have happened. No reason to puncish the decent people because of what that prick did. USC will be so disappointed that they hired him before long. He is an embarrassment to himself, his father, and college football in general.

Who could have seen this coming?

The levying of these two charges against the former coach rather than the Vol program represents a last-minute appeal by Tennessee to avoid the saddling of the program itself with the penalties.
That's a nice effort by Clay Travis to cover up the fact that his previous article was crappy journalism.

I'm sure Kiffin couldn't care less. Will the NCAA actually do anything to him?
I don't see it happening. As much as people tried to make a huge deal out of it, it's just a few secondary violations that his brother-in-law will take the fall for.

I don't think it's officially over, but they're done looking for now, and I don't think they're going to start again.

here is the NCAA LOA in entirety.
LINK
I've read all of it. the football allegations starts at page 16. only #9 and #10 is on football. #1-8 and #11 is on basketball.
I mean, I would love to see Kiffin get hit hard but it's not happening. so called violations he committed is pretty much nothing.
LOL at wishful thinkers thinking LOIC is still on the table.

Tennessee should be responsible for the man they hired. It was their decision to have him represent their institution.

After considering everything that has happened, I'm much happier with having Kiffin for a year instead of another year of Fulmer.

great news.
Does USCw have to eat any particular penalty OR
is this just on his "permanent record"
so it adds to the case against him as a person and coach?
